"MEOWWW," Konan purred, patting his paws on my chest as he woke me up. I smiled. "Good morning, Ko," I said, scratching in behind his ear. Then William came running into my room. "LAEKYN WAKE UP!" he yelled. I raised an eyebrow at my brother. "I'm already awake you moron." I cheekily grinned. William cleared his throat. "Oh.. well.. good! Because we have school today, your first year! Are you excited?" He asked, sitting in my desk chair.
I giggled. "Will, of course I am! Just a bit nervous, that's all." I admitted. William chuckled. "You'll be fine, you know a lot of people already. When it was my first year, I didn't know anyone. And you have me!" He assured me. I got up and hugged him. "Thanks Will." I smiled. I looked over at my clock. It was 6AM. I huffed and stretched. "I'm going to take a shower before we head to the station." I I yawned, heading to my bathroom. "Be a dear and shut the door on your way out, will you?" I requested.

"KIDS! LET'S GO, WE DONT want to be late, do we?" My mother yelled from downstairs. I hurriedly grabbed my trunk and placed Konan in his carrier and rushed downstairs. "Coming mom!" I shouted back, with William stumbling down the stairs behind me. Mother fixed my hair and we rushed out the door.
When we arrived at the station, we gave Mother a big hug. "You two have fun, and Laek, make sure you write me as soon as you get sorted!" She demanded with a smile. Tears formed in her eyes. "Mother, stop crying, I promise I'll be fine. I'll write to you as soon as I can!" I promised, wiping her tears. She gave a sad chuckle. "I'll miss you guys so much." She said.
She looked down at her watch. "Oh, Merlin, I must be going. I love you both!" She said, blowing kisses to us as she hurried away. I sighed as I turned to William. "Right, so how do we get to Platform 9 3/2?" I questioned. But William was no longer there. I rolled my eyes. "Oh, Merlin's beard, he's bloody useless sometimes." I muttered, pushing through people. I asked a few but they just scolded me.
I huffed, worried I'd be late. Then I saw people my age with their family pushing the same carts as me. I knew they were going to Hogwarts. And I recognized them. "Weasley's!" I shouted, running up to them. "Oh, hello darling!" Mrs. Weasley greeted me by pulling me into a warm hug. I smiled. There was a different boy there. "No way! You're Harry Potter!" I exclaimed.
The boy nodded nervously. "Right then, let me see it!" I requested. Harry grew confused. "See what?" He asked. I playfully rolled my eyes. "You're a funny one, the scar silly!" I giggled. "Um.. if it's not too much trouble, that is." I added, realizing I've lost my manners.
