~The Mafia's Seventh Commandment: Wives must be treated with respect."

Night

~Michael~

All of the capos came into my office one by one and sat down. They all took note of the dried blood and last bit of brain matter that Ryker missed while cleaning up.

"Arrow and Ryker are already aware, but Messiah's over with. He fucked up one too many times." I said. "It's because of him we have that girl."

"A girl?" Ace asked.

I nodded. "Yes, a girl. He told her all about The Enterprise at a club, and I had to take her in to ensure her silence. She's going to help us take out Marco."

"I see you've come up with a plan." Arrow said.

I nodded. "That I did."

"Well, what is it?" Blaze asked.

"From what I've heard, he's got a gambling addiction. He's at the casino every night. If we can just get him to that back alley behind the casino, we can take him out easy." I said.

"You're right boss, that's easy. But what's your plan to get him out there?" Zeke asked.

"That's where Destiny comes in." I said.

"The girl, I'm assuming." Mordecai said.

"You're assuming right." I said. "All she's going to do is lure him outside, and we'll take him out."

Mordecai raised a brow. "And you're confident that she'll be able to do that?"

"You'd be confident too if you saw her." I said. "One thing I don't want to happen is him touching all over her, or even hurting her. I'll be going on this job with you guys to make sure that doesn't happen. And if it does, it'll be handled by me."

"There's no need to be so protective over her. After this job you're going to dump her like we agreed." Kilo said.

I crossed my arms. "You don't know what I have planned. So for the love of god, let me be the fucking boss and handle this shit."

He rolled his eyes. "Hot-headed ass." He mumbled.

I bit my tongue and refrained from flipping out. "Anyway, I want this done tomorrow. We killed two of his best collectors, and he's gambling his stresses away. Let's strike while the irons hot." I said.

They all nodded and mumbled words of confirmation.

"Now as always, go live your lives as normally as possible. No one knows about the Jackson Mafia and it should stay that way. Don't end up like Messiah."

I gestured towards the blood and brains. None of them seemed truly phased because they'd never dream of betraying the mob. Besides, they'd seen worse than that anyway.

All of them got up and left, besides Mordecai and Kilo.

"I don't understand this logic, Michael." Kilo said. "There's no need to bring the girl into any of this. She'll only complicate this stupid idea of yours. Just kill her and let's move on."

I ignored him, trying my best not to snap and turned to Mordecai. "You see how he questions my authority? It's maddening. Where's the fucking respect?"

Mordecai only gave a small shrug. "Whatever the boss says goes, Kilo." He said.

I nodded. "Exactly. And that's taking out every Sicilian mobster in this damn city."
