Morning

~Destiny~

"Des."

I groaned and rolled so my back was facing this nuisance trying to wake me up. I cracked my eyes half open and realized the room was still dark, with only the beginning of the sunrise breaking through the gaps in the curtained windows.

"I told you we needed to be up early."

"What time is it?" I moaned tiredly.

"A little after five. Now get up."

It was then that I remembered we had a trip to Sicily. Or at least I assumed.

I felt his hand grab onto my bicep, but not as rough as I would've expected him to. He pulled me so I was sitting in an upright position.

He was already dressed in his type of casual clothes. Those damn jeans and the buckles on his jacket...

A pleasant sight to wake up to I'll say.

I moved the covers off of me and got out of the bed.

"Finally. Now let's go."

"What?" I said. "I haven't even brushed my teeth, showered, or anything!"

"Well you would've had time for all that if you'd gotten up earlier." He said.

"What do you mean earlier? Its literally five!"

"This was my fifth attempt at getting you up. I started around four thirty. Now it's too late. We got people waitin' on us." He said. He turned and walked out the room.

I grabbed the only pair of shoes I owned here that were heels and begrudgingly followed him, still feeling groggy.

I passed by a mirror on the way and realized I didn't look terrible. My curls were still a little frizzy, but a plain white t shirt and black leggings fit me well.

Down the foyer, Michael, Kilo, Mordecai, Arrow, and some other guys were already walking out the door.

I groaned. I always had to move so fast to keep up with all these guys.

I was experienced enough with running in heels, so it didn't take long for me to catch up.

When I reached them standing outside, they were loading the trunk of the car with the case full of guns from yesterday, and many other cases just like it.

Michael looked over at me and motioned towards the car with the head. "Get in."

I didn't make any fuss or hesitate. I was too tired anyway. I climbed in the backseat and waited for them to finish loading up the car. In about five minutes they all got in the car with me. The car was at full capacity, making the backseat quite cramped.

I'd learned to not complain.

Michael hit the gas and we were off. I stared out the window, trying to identify any landmarks that I'd see on the way to the airport.
