"Don't tease me unless you're going to please me."~~~

~Destiny~
The sun had began to set into the ocean and I watched as the sky changed colors. Standing out on the balcony was quite relaxing. It gave me a much needed opportunity to think things through.
Michael had kept his distance from me the entire day, and I appreciated that. The last thing I needed was to be smothered by him.
I felt that his gesture of keeping his distance and allowing me to get comfortable at my own pace proved that he was even the slightest bit of genuine.
"You alright?"
I turned around and saw Michael standing behind me, but with enough distance to keep me comfortable. I was able to get a clear view of his perfect curls, and perfectly toned body with tattoos. He only had on a pair of jeans.
I nodded in response to his question. "I'm good. Just thinking."
"Can I ask what you're thinking about?"
I sighed. "A lot. I'm just really homesick."
"I know you are." He said. "But you know you can't go back. At least not now."
I felt my heart sink. "I don't understand why!"
"That's why you have to trust me, Des. That's why I brought you here."
"Well how am I supposed to trust you when you don't tell me anything?"
He sighed. "Everything I have or haven't told you is to keep you safe. You think I'm keeping you around just to kill you or let you get hurt?"
He had a point. I never thought of it like that before. The look on his face showed me he was genuine. For once he didn't give me a smug look, and I didn't feel as if he were claiming me with his eyes alone.
Even though I cant say I'd mind if he were.
"I guess you're right." I said. I looked down at the ground and chewed on my lip. I felt him move closer to me and place his finger under my chin, making me look at him.
"I know it won't happen overnight, but I want you to tell me you'll at least try to trust me." He said.
I nodded. "I will. I swear."
Pleased, he showed me a breathtaking smile before licking his lips to top it off.
In a moment of pure absent mindedness, I opened my mouth to say the most idiotic thing I possibly could in that moment.
"You've been teasing me with those damn lips for too long."
He pulled his hand away from my face and gave me the same crazy look he did when he was reaching into my bra for the gun.
He shook his head. "Destiny- what?"
"Wait- no. I didn't mean-"
"If you think I brought you here for that, you're terribly mistaken." He said as he took a step away. "Geez." He muttered before stepping back inside.
You're an idiot, Des. What warranted you to say that?
I never failed to make a fool of myself around him.
I pushed my hair away from my face and took a deep sigh. I didn't want to sit on that balcony and shrivel up from the embarrassment, I wanted to hide away in one of his luxurious bathrooms. Much better for me.
