HI LOVES IM BACK!!!

Sorry for the slight (extra) delay, my laptop was broken and took ages to get back to me.

A short but necessary chapter ahead, not crazy about it but like I said necessary. A new update on 12/30 lovies.

---------

I fling myself through the double-doors of the emergency room to see my mother and the entirety of Miles family teary-eyes.

My stomach drops and my mind races to every worst possible scenario.

My mother rushes to me and engulfs me into a hug and I feel the tears, once again, stinging my eyes.

"Please tell me what is going on," I plead with my mom.

"Sweetie, why don't you sit down," she whispers in my ear and she pulls away and guides me to a chair. I lock eyes with Miles' mother. She's broken. She looks like she's in the type of daze where her world has stopped turning. My gaze shifts to his little sister, she is sat with her knees pulled to her chest and her head hung. I hear soft sobs escape her lips.

Suddenly it hits me. This is it. He's gone.

I gasp as I shoot up out of bed and grasp my chest. I feel like my heart is going to explode.

I feel a hand softly grab my waist and pull me close, and for a moment I freak out and try to pull away.

"Shhhh love, s'just me," Harry whispers, and I relax and melt into his chest. He holds me and softly rocks me back and forth as I let out soft, broken sobs as I process what is happening.

These dreams always bring me back to reality of the situation, that he's gone. Someone I loved was dead. And I didn't even get a chance to say goodbye.

Miles was my high school sweetheart. The love we had was innocent and pure, puppy love at its finest. Our love burned bright and to be honest, for a long time I thought he was the one. But my dreams were so much bigger than the small town where I was from, and Miles was content with where he was. That was our biggest roadblock.

He wanted a simple, quiet life while my heart always longed for the city. I longed for the bright lights and high fashion and that was something he could never quite understand. For a while we glossed over the situation at hand, pretending as if it was something we could work through, but when my dreams of working in the city started to become a reality the idea of parting ways was something I couldn't shake.

I knew he wasn't the one. I knew I wasn't what he wanted in the long run.

It was kind of like one of those 'if you love them let them go' kind of moments for us, on both ends. But every chance Miles got, he would try to convince me we could work. That we were meant for one another, all his advances turned down promptly by me because even though I knew we weren't meant to be it was still just as painful to hear from him as the breakup was. I mean it's not like you fall out of love with someone overnight.

---

Harry runs his fingers through my hair, we still sit in silence from my outburst. It's a comfortable silence but there is an uncertainty in the air, neither of us sure how to continue on.

I shift myself on the bed and lie flat on my back with my head in his lap. I gaze up and our eyes meet. We both flash soft smiles at one another and he brings his thumb to my cheek to brush away a runaway tear.

I take a deep breath and say "So- I- Um- That was really embarrassing,"

"It was not, Charlie," he assures me. "Everyone has their share of nightmares."

"Mine is more of a reoccurring, um well... recollection of past events," I stutter.

He furrowed his eyebrows in confusion and I continued on, "I think we need to talk. I mean, I think I want to tell you something. I just don't want to freak you out," I say as I slowly rise and face myself towards him.

He grabs for my hands and encloses his around mine.

I feel safe. I feel secure. I feel heard.

And slowly, I begin to pour my heart out with the story that has haunted me every waking moment for the last year of my life.

***LOVE U ALL***
