We drove for a little while in the night. It must've been about 15 minutes when I felt Kai slow the car down and pull into what looked like a hidden garage that went underground from the giant house above.

The car went down the ramped driveway and entered the garage with ease. Once we were parked, the garage door began to close behind us. That was when Kai put his mask back on, took a breath, and opened his door. I opened my car door too and began to step out when Kai came swiftly over and grabbed my hand.

There it was again, those butterflies straight from hell.

"Look (y/n), this isn't gonna be a comfortable situation for either of us, but you need to cooperate. When we get inside, you do as I say. You keep your hands to yourself, don't touch anything, and don't even look at anything unless I give you permission." Kai snapped at me. We then entered a door off the garage. Even though Kai gave specific orders to do as he said, I couldn't help my eyes from wandering to the dark hallway ahead.

I could tell Kai was anxious while leading me through dimly lit hallway after dimly lit hallway. It didn't give me any ease either knowing that a tall dark almost stranger was leading me down dark cement hallways. From the looks of it, we must've been in a basement of some sorts.

We kept walking until we passed a certain door. It was only while passing this door that Kai sped up and held my hand, that he had been casually grabbing to pull me along, a little tighter. This just made me even more curious. I knew if I got the chance, I'd definitely be back to check this room out.

"So what is this place?" I asked Kai with genuine curiosity in my voice as we made our way down what looked to be the final basement hallway leading to a staircase.

"None of your damn business." Was the only response I got from Kai. But I knew there just had to be something going on down here, and apparently, something Kai didn't want anyone to know.

We were now walking up the staircase and that was when Kai again got my attention. "Now I don't really know what's going on myself but the Pro Heroes have been following me like dogs and I really don't need someone like you getting in a run in with them and blabbing whatever you think you know about me. So until all this shit dies down, you're gonna be staying with me and you're not gonna be stupid and try to run away, or contact your friends or anything. Just know this won't be fun for either of us. So it'd be best if you would cooperate." He explained to me as we reached the main level of the house.

"Kai-" I started but was soon interrupted.

"Don't call me that... in public at least." The man in front of me started. "You're to call me overhaul." He finished before I could even get another word in.

We entered a room with two couches and a table in the center. Everything looked so clean. The room was occupied by maybe ten other men all dressed in white. They seemed to stop their conversation as soon as me and Kai entered the room. I became immediately uncomfortable and without realizing it I inched myself closer to Kai.

In the center of this group I noticed a man who sort of stuck out from the rest. He had fawn brown hair and a chiseled but innocent face, unlike the rest. Much unlike Kai.

Then another man approached us, one with a similar mask to Kai's. But the man soon approached and revealed his face. He was pale with silver hair and much more of a bigger man than Kai.

I was practically standing behind Kai at this point. I'd never been more scared of being in a room, even rooms with my father weren't this tense.

"Kurono, Kendi, I'd like you to meet someone... Come on (y/n), they're not gonna hurt you." Kai spat as he almost grabbed my arm and forced me out from behind him. "(y/n)s gonna be staying with us for a bit now until the whole pro hero thing blows over, got it?" He continued casually.

All the men in the room, even the ones Kai didn't mention by name gave a sincere, "Yes sir."

Kai and I left the room and as he led me down another hallway, I could admit it, I was not only scared, but confused, nervous, and even a little curious. What was the man I used to know up to now? Why was he so secretive? Where was he leading me?
