"Ok, Aria meet (y/n), and (y/n) meet Aria." Nora smiled as she introduced me to her friend. Apparently there was another girl who I'd meet when we got there. But for now Aria seemed like a super nice person. She'd sing along to almost every song on the radio, and her and Nora would have the Most in depth talks about which heroes they thought were the cutest.Aria had long red hair and green eyes. I had known her previously from one of my classes but now I was really getting to know her. I could tell why Nora liked her so much. She really was a sweet girl.
Anyways Aria and Nora began talking again about heroes and such and I simply wasn't that interested in the topic so I guess I just began to gaze out the window. Flashing images of faces passed by as we drove and it was rather calming to look out into the city scene. I wouldn't call myself a people watcher but it always peaked my interest to see everyday people going about everyday business.
While in a daze, my stare was so rudely interrupted by a passing face. But this wasn't just any face. It was the same face from the other night. At first I didn't realize it, but then in a second I jerked my head back to try to capture the fleeting image of the tall dark haired man in a dress shirt and pants with a green bomber jacket. He was so mysterious to me.
I again was left with the same questions that I found myself pondering for the last few days. Who was this man? Why does he look so damn familiar?
Then right when I felt like I was about to put my finger on it, Aria shouted.
"We're here!" We pulled into a parallel park on the curb and I could already tell Nora was ecstatic.
"Yay, and look at that we get a balcony!!" Nora said while looking up and fleeing the parked car with excitement.
I slid over in the back seat and opened the passenger side door. I had to admit, it was a pretty apartment from the outside. I think the clear blue sky only complemented it too. While getting out of the car, Aria popped the trunk and Nora began taking our suitcases out for us to grab on our way inside.
Apparently only Aria and the other girl whose name I found out to be Kiori had keys. So while I was getting my suitcase from Nora, Aria opened the front door to the apartment. Instantly Nora beamed. The apartment seemed to be just as pretty on the inside as the outside.
Through the front door there was a wide foyer and a spiral staircase leading up to the main floor of the apartment. Once climbing the stairs there was a gorgeous open floor plan and a small hallway where there were three bedrooms and one bathroom at the end. Aria and Kiori would each get their own room. While me and Nora would share. I'm sure this was because an apartment like this sure wasn't cheap to rent for a week and Aria and Kiori were the main contributors to the funding.
While walking through the living room, I noticed the balcony that Nora had pointed out earlier. Something inside told me to open the curtains and just take a look out there. So that's what I did. With both my hands I spread the curtains apart and took a gaze outside. Then I unlocked the glass door and took my first steps onto the wooded patio. The view was something to die for, and the busy street below just felt so exciting.
Then the thought crept into my mind that maybe if I looked hard enough I'd be able to spot that mysterious man from before. I must've only seen him about a kilometer away. Subconsciously wherever I looked from then on, I was looking for him. I don't know why. But I just somehow felt connected to him. Like I know him somehow.
Then there was a knock at the door, soon followed by the jangle of keys. Finally, it was Kiori.
