In Between Rebellion and Freedom [ENHYPEN Jake x Reader]

Chapter 3

Jake's Pov

I was having a morning stroll with my cousin, Sunghoon through the woods when I heard some swords clashing. 

"I didn't know there would be a war here. Lets go back! I don't wanna get into trouble..." Sunghoon said worriedly whining... 

'Aisshh... this kid. He is a grown up 18 year old Prince now but he is still acting like a baby...' I thought to myself watching my cousin whine like a five year old child.

I decided to follow the clashing sound until it stopped. I halt my horse to a stop, curious why the clashing ended. Then I heard a girl's laugh.. man, that laugh is music to my ears.. I followed the sound and I ended up seeing a girl attacking another girl but older than her. I think its her trainer.

I went down from my horse and hid behind a bush watching her as she moved gracefully even though she was holding a sword.

"Fight! Princess!" Her trainer said. 

'So she is a Princess? I thought Princesses don't train?' I thought for a while then went back to watch at the so called Princess who continued to clash her sword. 

"I told you, Call. Me. By. My. Name!" She clashed her weapon in between saying those words.

"Anddd... Attack! I won. Man, that was so easy.." She smirked while panting..

"You sure worked hard Y/n! You became 2x faster than before!" The Princess named Y/n went to her and stretched her hand to help her trainer stand up from the ground.

'So her name is Y/n? Wow.. a perfect name to call a beauty.'  I thought while staring at her face.

She must be tired from training though.. but I could tell that she was already used to it. They decided to rest while I also decided to stay at my bush at watch them as they talk and laugh.

Her trainer tickled her which made me hear the pleasant sound that I heard earlier, her laugh.

But then something, I mean someone startled me from behind and I accidentally moved which caused the bush to rustle in front of me. 

Y/n immediately stopped laughing and stared at the bush that I've been hiding.

'Shit!' I cursed through my mind and looked behind me to see Sunghoon holding up his laughter.

'This brat! I will definitely smack your head later. Be ready for it.' I thought for a moment while sending daggers to him through my eyes. 

The Princess stood up from the ground and started to take her weapon from the side of her suit, same with her trainer. 

She was about to go the bush that I was using to hide but then a boy who I think is a year or two years older than her and another dude called her attention and she placed back her weapon to its place and turned to them.

"Hey there baby sis! How's training?" The boy asked her while patting her head. I couldn't see his face though but his back is familiar.

"So he is her older brother?" I whispered to myself but Sunghoon heard it

"Ooohh, so now you're whipped for that girl~" He teased me then I smacked his head hard.

"Ow!!" He suddenly said it out loud which attracted the Princess again. But not only her, all of them.

"Who's there?" I heard someone ask. 

'SHIT!'  I cursed in my head and mentally slapped myself as I leave the bush that I was hiding from and appeared towards them, and Sunghoon followed.

Your Pov

You heard someone behind the bush that you've been watching for a while ago. You all stopped and started to look at the bush.

"Who's there?" Hwasa said in caution as she pulled her sword from her side and you followed but Heeseung  stopped you from doing so. 

"Let her do it lil sis." He told you so you placed back your training sword. But you were so curious so you went to Hwasa and Heeseung  followed behind.

"W-wait-" Heeseung  said, surprised.

"Sunghoon, and Jake?!" Their eyes went wide like saucers as he said their names.

"Hyung?!" The Sunghoon dude shouted and the Jake foreign dude froze like a statue, staring at him.

Then they hugged each other like there is no more tomorrow..

"You..." You started as they break their hug turn their gazes on you.

"...know each other?" You then cocked your head on the side out of curiosity and blinked at them.

The dudes, chuckled at you while Hwasa and K are having a hard time holding their laughter.

"O-oh! I forgot to tell you. These are my friends together with K." Heeseung explained everything to Y/n while on the other hand, Y/n's head is keep on looking at the three friends then back to K and vice versa again and again.

Y/n kept quiet letting her brother's explanation flow into her head which made them laugh at her.

"Y-yah! what's funny?" you rolled your eyes towards your brother and he laughed more, making you laugh too. 

You didn't know that there is someone who is keep on staring at you when you laugh...

"Ah... let us introduce ourselves in a proper way." Sunghoon started.

"Good morning, I am Prince Sunghoon from the South." He bowed down at you then elbowed his cousin who is staring at you.

"O-oh, Good morning, I am Prince Jake from the West. Sunghoon here is my cousin." He stuttered a bit and ended up with bowed and a smile. A pink tint faintly appeared around his cheeks as he looked down at the ground and back up to you. 

"He was born in Australia just so if you are going to ask." Sunghoon said placing his hand on his shoulder.

Your mouth formed an 'o' as you completely understand why is this dude look foreign.

'Cute' You thought. Wait, what?! 

You, too ended up having a faint tint around your cheeks and brush the thought away so that you could introduce without embarrassing yourself..

"U-uh.." You mentally face palmed yourself for stuttering... 'What's wrong with me?!' You thought.

"Good morning to the two of you as well. I am Princess Y/n from the East. Its good to meet y'all" You bowed. Yes, bowed. You didn't curtsy. Its weird to curtsy while wearing an armor.

"Beautiful.." You heard what Jake said, and your eyes became wide, and the pink tint on your cheeks deepened. you looked down, trying to remember something...
