2. I Trust You

Kirumi was the culprit.

We watched as she screamed and shouted trying to escape. It was painful to watch for the others. They were all shouting for her encouraging her to escape.

She still died in the end...

Almost everyone was upset. It was silent as we rode the elevator back up. I planned to go straight back to my room but of course Kokichi had something to say.

"I CAN'T BELIEVE MOMMY IS GONE NOW!!! I'M SO SADD!!!" Kokichi yelled as he started crying fake tears.

"Stop it Kokichi."

"Cut it out you filthy liar!" Miu butted in before Kokichi frowned.

"Why do you guys always think I'm lying? There's someone else here who's been lying to everyone the whole time...isn't that right Maki~?"

I looked over and glared at him before he smirked. I couldn't hold myself back.

In almost less then a second I held him up by his neck while he struggled.

"Maki!" Kaito shouted.

"W-Wow! You got...here pretty q-quick. You must...really hate me huh? Y-You could kill me, in an instant if you...wanted." He paused before he smiled at me.
"Isn't that right...Miss Ultimate Assassin?"

As he spoke those words I threw him on the floor as he breathed heavily for air.

"You're an assassin..?" Tsumugi asked staring at me while taking a step back.

I could already feel everyone staring at me along with her.

They stared at me in fear.

As I finished dressing I looked over at the clock.

It was around the time where everyone meets up for breakfast. After last night I didn't plan on going.

I doubt they would want me there anyways. I'm just a killer in their eyes.

DING!

I was surprised as my doorbell suddenly went off. I opened the door just to find Kaito there with a big smile.
"Let's go to breakfast together Maki!!"

I stared at him confused.

"Why?"

"Well because eating is an important factor of taking care of yourself! So come on let's go! We're gonna be late!"

"I'm not going. I'll eat later. Bye." I said trying to close the door before he stopped it.

"Nope! You're not skipping today! Let's go!" He said grabbing my wrist and pulling me out of my dorm.

I easily yanked it away from him and stood as he looked back at me.
"I would rather just stay in my lab. It's easier for both of us that way. So just leave-"

"I'm not going anywhere until you come with me."

I rolled my eyes walking back to my dorm and almost as soon as I closed the door I heard the doorbell ring.

I ignored it before it went off again, and again, and again, and again.

Finally annoyed I opened my door glaring at him.
"Why do you want me there anyways?!"

"Why not?" I sighed as he said that. He grabbed my wrist once again and dragged me, this time I didn't bother resisting.

As we neared closer to the dining hall I could hear voices, Kokichi being the first obviously.

"Don't you think we should check her lab? A killer girl needs stuff to kill wouldn't she~? It means she probably has lots of weapons!"

"She's always guarding it though, she's probably guarding it right now." I heard Tsumugi say.

"It'd be hard to get around her, she's an assassin after all so she must be pretty strong."

"Wow Kiibo! You actually got something right for once!"

"That's robophobic!"

Of course they all stopped when they saw Kaito with me.

"Hey guys! Sorry I'm late! Took a while to get Maki here!"

I looked as everyone stared at him, then me.

"Kaito you're not dead! Even after being with killer girl!"

"Don't call me that."

"It's the truth though isn't it?"

"Ah Maki, do you mind if we check out your lab?" I looked at Shuichi and he seemed nervous as well.

Everyone was scared of me.
Whats expected?

"Oh no! Shumai look at her eyes!! They look like she's going to kill you! I'll protect you Shuichi!" Kokichi said as he started standing in front of him.

"We just think it isn't safe for weapons to be accessed like that..." Tsumugi said. I could tell she was laying though.

"Huh? But Gonta thought it was because Maki could kill us?"

"Look at you go Gonta! You weren't so say that dummy!! God you really are stupid."

"Oh, Gonta sorry."

I ignored them looking at everyone in the room. It was clear they didn't trust me.
"Look I get it you guys don't trust me, but I won't do anything. I don't plan on killing anyone here. So just stay out of my way and I'll stay out of yours..."

As I said that I left feeling like a monster.

But, that's all I am.

A girl who kills people simply because she's paid to, a cold hearted girl, a dangerous girl, a girl who will never be normal.

"Maki!" I heard Kaito call my name.

He followed me out and I turned to face him.
"What?"

He looked at me with a small smile.
"I trust you!"

I rolled my eyes ignoring him and returning to my room.

But...

His words replayed in my head.

I trust you!

"Impossible." She said to herself.
