"Thats right! You're all fictional characters! Maki and Kaito's love was fictional! Kaito's inspiring words were fictional! And even Tenko's encouraging words were fictional!! Oh and Kiibo, your 'inner voice' you love listening to so much is just our audience! Doesn't hearing all this make you fall into despair-"

"Stop it." Himiko said as tears were at her eyes.
"Knowing this...that we're just fictional characters, and that we're not real. I don't wanna hear it anymore...I'm just tired of all this."

"Awww~ giving up already? Boring, I even kept you alive hoping you'd get character development. But you're still just the same old Himiko when we started, tired."

"I'm not!! Tenko has-"

"Changed you? Have you forgotten that was fictional too?"

Himiko stayed silent not bothering to answer this time.

"No, this, isn't possible-"

"Shuichi wasn't it Kaito himself who said 'The impossible is possible'? Of course, that wasn't real-"

"Shut up." I said.

"Maki-"

"Shut. Up. You saying all of this is fictional world crap, I don't believe you. My feelings for Kaito were real. I know that."

"Maki I can pull up the script right now just to prove you wrong~"

As she said that one of the screens showed papers. On those papers was my exact words to Kaito before he died.

Maki: K-Kaito, this is...ever since you defended me in the second class trial I had this feeling...a-and I didn't wanna believe in it. I-I thought you would just leave me like everyone else had. But...you didn't...and you made me fall for you. And for you to just leave me?! I-I can't let it happen. I can't fail again! I need you here!

"I..."

I couldn't find words.

Everything...was a lie..?

All of this time I spent with him, and...loving him...wasnt real?

Just fictional crap for other people to enjoy?

I closed my eyes thinking of everything that happened.

And that it wasn't even real.

"Maki roll!"

Hearing Kaito's voice I opened my eyes and looked around. I wasn't in the class trial anymore, I was on a hill somewhere and it was night.

I was surprised when I suddenly felt an arm wrap around my shoulder before I recognized the purple coat sleeve.

"K-Kaito." I said looking up at him as he stared down at me.

I turned into him hugging him tightly as he held me back.
"Y-You're alive!! I know you're real. Tsumugi is just lying right? You're real right...?"

When he didn't say anything I looked up at him. He wore that same smile from when he first talked to me, but it seemed more sad.

"Kaito?"

"You need to be strong Maki."

"No Kaito you're-"

"Maki. You're a strong person. You can do this."

"B-But Kaito...I...I need you. Please can't we just stay here?"

"Do you remember what I told you when you trained with me and Shuichi for the first time?"
