Soobin waits as we watched all the other kids hop in their parents car as he waits for his.

All his friends left for either tutoring or were just really excited about going home and sleeping.

So he waits alone for his mother in the front of the school. It felt so long waiting for her but in reality it was only 2 minutes and his feet were staring to ache. Avoiding the sun he lowers his head to look at the concrete and eventually close his eyes.

Soon he hears a car drive by and get closer but he didn't bother looking up. But then hears the honk which made his jump and look up. It his mother, how relieved he was.

"Get in loser" his mother shouts jokingly out of the open window.

Soobin rolls his eyes playfully and walks towards the car.

"Your lucky that I was the only one there otherwise I would've ran away from you" soobin says putting on his seatbelt.

"I would have never done that to my precious baby!" She baby's him, squishing his cheeks.

"you know you would" soobin looks out the widow rolling his eyes. "yeah i would" she chuckles and starts to drive, looking left and right before doing so.

Pulling up at the hospital soobin couldn't help but get nervous. he wipes his sweaty hands on his jeans and tries to control his breathing as his mother looks for a place to park. as she found one rather quick his nervousness starts to take over faster.

Regretting his choices of starting chemo and starting the next day of his final decision. His mind was filled with his passing father as the doctor's failed on tracking his illness, he was scared that they would do the same again.

"It's okay" his mother creases the back of soobins hand and offers him a soft smile which he returned.

"You're going to be fine" she says with tears in her eyes embracing her son In her arms and stroking his head as he lays on her chest hugging her back.

They stay like that for a couple of minutes before she taps her son's shoulder and says that they would be late if they stood like that any longer.

Soobin doesn't whine even tho on the inside he dreads not going inside the hospital.

As they walk side by side and enter the building. They walk to the elevators and push the buttons going to a different floor filled with patients like him. Some in wheelchairs some with head scarfs with nurses caring for them.

Soobin sits as his mother went to go sign some papers need beforehand. He takes a look at everything surrounding him, all the rooms with children in them learning because they didn't have time to do so at school. The small laughter coming from some. He absorbed it all.

Remembering the time he had with his father in this exact same place. He remembers all the scary events that took place as a young teenager and then fun of his childhood in here.

He watches as his mother walks twords him and sits down on the chair beside him. Filling out the paper work he listens to the way the pen glides onto the paper and the taps of they way she writes.

He closes his eyes leaning his head against the wall behind him. He pays attention to the darkness and the diffrent shades of colors that were caused from looking at the bright lights.

What seemed like 20 minutes was actually 5 minutes of waiting.

"Soobin, get up" he hears his mother call for him as she shakes him awake.

He slowly opens his eyes blinded by the light he looks down at the not so harming floor with his eyes half closed, following his mother. 

"Choi Soobin?" The nurse says, he nods rubbing his eyes.

"How long have you left this untreated?" She questions as she takes his blood pressure.

"For about 3 years" he says with a raspy voice.

The nurse asked no more and proceeded to do other things.

When they were done they walked into another room filled with IV's and a comfy looking chair.

"The doctor will be here shortly, please take a seat" he bows before leaving.

Soobin and his mother wait in silence waiting in what seems like forever.

Both thier heads turn and they finally hear two knocks on the wooden heavy door.
