Soobin held his phone as he looked at the screen with a message ready to send.
'can we talk it's kinda important'. It read. He looked back at the weak text message, re-reading it seeing if there was anything he could add.
He looked at the caller ID. 'choi Yeonjun'. "Ugh!" He turned off his phone and layed on his back looking at his ceiling covered with glow in the dark starts and planets that were scattered all over.
His eyes looked at every single one of them, thinking of nothing just looking.
After a while he got tires of just looking at plastic stars and looked outside. The sun was setting which created such a beautiful ombre of blues, oranges, pinks and purples.
He gets up after looking at the sunset through his see through curtains.
He opens his blinds and window staring at the sunset. It was like it didn't change. They stayed the same shades of perfect beautiful hues. Almost looking to perfect to be real.
Before getting to lost in the clouds his phone notifications go off.
He walks over to his bed and sees that he's been added to a group chat by Yeonjun.

Soobin laughs at the groups name thinking that Beomgyu probably named it.

Soobin laughed looking at his friends argue through text. Nothing new. But it was the fact that he could hear their voices and how they would act if this was at school.
bing! his phone goes off.

And with that no more messages appeared to light up his phone.
He looked over at the now dark sky filled with billions of unseen stars and imagined how it would be if all of them so happened to appear.
He stared at every one of the stars and one catches his attention.
'why isn't it blinking?' he squinted his eyes to see better and it was orange!
His eyes widened. "Woah" he said out loud as he rested his cheeks on his cold palms. "Hi mars" he says smiling.
"It's been a while" he switches to the other palm. "I didn't know you were coming today,,, maybe it's cause I didn't watch the boring news" he scrunches his nose.
He stared at the stars for a while more thinking of nothing, taking in the beautiful scenery with a soft smile.
"Soobin I'm home!" He hears his mother which makes him stop his star gazing session. He closes the blinds and heads down stairs.
"Hi mom" he says as he engulfed her into a big hug. "What do you want" his mother says with a soft laugh.
"What I can't hug my mom?" He says as he notices bags of food on the table.
"OooooOoOo you bought food" he says as he un-bags the dinner.
Taking a sip of a drink that was on the counter he checks in the small box.
"Mmm chicken!"
"Yeah for the time you had some with your friend" she does quotation marks with her fingers.
"He really is a friend" he shyly smiles.
"Yeah I'm just messing with you, you don't have to get red" she says in a baby tone as she squished her son's face.
"Go wash your hands and come eat"
"Yes mommy" he says in a baby voice.
