Munah had a few sessions of hemodialysis and was responding well to treatment, she even visited the restroom on her own without assistance and could go on short walks around the hospital. However, the covid situation escalated and because of the number of cases, the hospital was no longer safe for her, they feared the risk of covid, especially with her condition, her immune system would not be able to fight back. She was having withdrawals symptoms too.

She was moved to an exclusive serviced apartment in Maitama by Aslam and Khalifa where she had 2 private nurses that took turns taking care of her and a chef. She had a doctor's appointment at the hospital every Tuesday.

Khalifa volunteered to take her for every appointment. Amna and Aslam also called daily to check on her and visited a couple times.

Munah spoke to her mother a day after she was discharged from the hospital. Her mother did not have an inkling that she was sick. She'd asked why her voice sounded low and Munah lied that she had a headache.

"I hope it's not covid?" She asked and Munah chuckled and replied "No."

If only she knew, she thought.

Her mother passed the phone to her father, who cautioned her about the dangers of covid, he'd asked where she was because the staff at home had told her mother there was no one at home and she lied that she was at her friend's for a while, the house was too big and creepy for her to stay alone.

After the call, she received a notification of a 5 million naira alert from her father for upkeep because she was alone but couldn't care less.

A week after Sa'adah's delivery, at their family house, there was a simple bear themed set up for baby Omar Faruk's naming ceremony which Mimi, Rukaiya and Amna spent hours trying to put together. He was named after their father.

A national lockdown was placed all over Nigeria 2 days prior but the Omar's found their way to the family house to celebrate their new addition. Daddy and Maa were there, Mimi, Faisal and the kids, Ibrahim, Rukaiya and their kids too, the new parents, Amna and Aslam, Adnan's only sister- Ummi, Sa'adah's best friend- Meena and Yasmine Shettima. It was an intimate naming ceremony because of the lockdown.

Amna took endless photos on her digital camera, the kids loved being at their grandparent's all together. Sa'adah glowed with happiness and Adnan had a permanent grin on his face.

After Amna shared haagen dazs ice cream bars to the kids, she returned and took baby Faruk from Sa'adah who wanted to eat for probably the 10th time that evening.

Amna sat next to Aslam and rocked baby Faruk to sleep while Aslam watched and smiled.

"You're so good with kids and babies," he whispered to her, he thought if he spoke louder Faruk would wake up.

"I get a lot of that, they're so adorbssss." she cooed.

"Look at them like Faruk's parents." Ruky spoke from across the table, Ibrahim had gone into the kitchen through the back door to grab more bottles of cold water.

Mimi grinned "I know right,"

Aslam shook his head and laughed "Very soon," he mouthed and winked at her when her gaze met his.

Subhanallah, Amna wanted the ground to open up and swallow her, she almost fainted there.

"Yawwa, Faruk should not be a year older please, so he can have a playmate." Sa'adah wiggled her brows.
