Chapter 23 - Confession

THIRD PERSON

"I like you" Eunwoo's confession keeps on replaying inside Dahyun's head.

"don't worry I won't push you to like me back or any but I'll wait." His words seems unreal to her. "He likes me?" Dahyun asked herself. She treated her as a friend, as a brother that's why she did not expect him to be like this.

"No way" Dahyun said again. TWICE knows about it already since Eunwoo confessed in their waiting room. Only them and Jimin knows that he confessed already.

"Don't think about it too much" Chaeyoung told her when she saw how puzzled Dahyun is and how disturbing her bed looks like. It's all messed up.

"Chaeyoungie, Is it really possible?" Dahyun asked her with her eyes wide open. "A friend liking a friend???" She added. "Of course it is." Chaeyoung answered sitting on her own bed.

"but don't stress yourself too much about it." She told her to lessen the stress she's feeling.

"but why will he confess it now? Everything in my life is so messed up right now!" Dahyun exclaimed rolling over her bed.

"He can't suppress his feelings anymore. Dahyun unnie, a person is a bottle of emotions. If it's full, it might blow up." Chaeyoung's metaphor is so clear to Dahyun.

"But I don't want to hurt him.." Dahyun is now calm looking all worried for his friend. "You don't like him don't you?" Chaeyoung asked her but Dahyun just sighed big time.

"Knew it." Chaeng added.

"You should tell him sooner that you can just see him as a friend. As a brother." Chaeyoung suggested

"Yeah but He'll get hurt. You know how much I hate hurting others." Dahyun told her. Chaeyoung sighed because Dahyun is too innocent for things like this.

I wonder what Vernon did to you or what did you see about Vernon that you two dated in the past. Chaeyoung thought inside her head.

"The fact that you don't like him as a man hurts already. You could hurt him in anyways you'll do. You could hurt him by saying sooner that you Don't like him and you could hurt him if you'll let this stay longer, you'll give him hopes but eventually you don't like him." Chaeyoung told her sounding like a mom to her.

"this is so hard.." Dahyun said. Her heads looking down and her hands on her nape.

"Besides he told you right, you two can stay friends if that's what you want."

"Yeah but then if I'll do that, the atmosphere between us will be so awkward or if not, it'll be uncomfortable. And others will find out about it. Yugyeom, Jungkook?!! His friends that are my friends too! You know how overreacting Jungkook is and Yugyeom will probably Contact either my brother or my parents." Dahyun panicked again.

"Could you please calm down? That won't happen ok. Trust me. Trust Eunwoo" Chaeyoung told her again and now going towards Dahyun to pat her back.

"Try liking him back." Tzuyu who just entered the room, joined the conversation.

"What? You're out of your mind Chou Tzuyu" Chaeng scolded the youngest.

"No way." Dahyun added after Chaeyoung.

"Is it because of Jimin oppa?" Tzuyu asked straightforward earning Dahyun and Chaeyoung's attention.

"No!" She immediately answered

"why did you sneak out last night? At first I thought you're just gonna buy something that's why I Waited but then I saw Jimin oppa driving you here.." Tzuyu spilled the truth and now Chaeyoung's jaw are dropping while Dahyun's eyes widened and ran to the door to close it.

"Hey hey hey hey unnie, You did what?!" Chaeyoung shouted in a whisper manner as she can't believe Tzuyu's words.

"Chou Tzuyu, you're dreaming." Dahyun told her as if Chaeyoung and Tzuyu will believe her.

"And if I'm not? I'm sure I'm not. You panicked just now." Tzuyu told her again looking like an school bully and almost forgetting that Dahyun is older than her.

"let's sleep" Dahyun Changed the topic and went to her bed. She was ready to cover her body with a blanket but Chaeyoung pulled her.

"Why?" Chaeyoung asked looking and sounding like a mom.

"They're dating." Tzuyu concluded which is making Dahyun more annoyed and irritated.

"We're not!" She told them with her eyebrows furrowed and annoyance in her voice.

"Why are you so upset about it?" Chaeyoung asked calming herself.

"I..." She's out of words because she-herself- don't know why.

"Go to sleep. I know you're tired." Chaeyoung added again when she saw uncomfort in Dahyun's face.

Dahyun wanted to forget everything that happened last night because for her, it was out of this world. She can't believe her words and her actions.

Tomorrow is their comeback and she's stressing herself out right now. It is unnecessary. She shouldn't get stressed because they have schedules tomorrow but look at her now.

She blamed Eunwoo, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu inside her head because of making her feel like this.

Meanwhile Jimin who knew about everything that happened told Suga about it and Suga just told him "I told you."

"You told me what?!" Jimin asked him in confusion.

"You'll regret not being brave." Suga added leaving Jimin speechless

"I get it. Eunwoo is your friend. But don't you think you deserve her too? Like, you see, you clearly understand her more than anybody. The way she treats you is different from anybody. She felt comfortable with you. A different type of comfort. Don't you think you deserve her too?" Suga told Jimin but one thing is for sure. Suga did not mention the biggest hindrance in what he wanted to do.

"But our fans?" He asked Suga.

Suga was left dumbfounded. He didn't thought about it and thinking about their reactions, it's tearing him apart as well.

Eunwoo and Dahyun starred in a mini-drama which made fans love their tandem. There are so many people who will support them but he is not sure about Jimin and Dahyun.

Not to brag about it but Suga knows they have a big fandom. Bigger than TWICE's and he knows too that they have much more obsessed fans and sasaengs which will make it more dangerous not only for both Dahyun and Jimin but for both TWICE and BTS too.

"let's go to sleep. We have few more promotions left and surely we'll be meeting TWICE as well. We met seventeen and got7 already. Imagine what'll be happening if the four of us in one place and Eunwoo as an MC. think about that." Suga told Jimin to stress him more. Suga knows about Vernon. It's not Jimin who told him but Jungkook. He spilled it accidentally while playing.

"Hyung!" Jimin just shouted on him and threw some pillows to his direction.

Suga went to sleep already but Jimin did not. He kept looking at the ceiling blanklessly. His mind is all messed up right now and he doesn't even know how messy it is inside his head.

"Cruelty." He told in the air. It was the only word he thought of to describe the situation he is in right now. Cruelty.

Jimin took his phone and opened it to see his wallpaper.

"I'm crazy" he told the screen and laughed a little.

"why does it have to be you? Of all people?" He asked the screen as if the screen will be answering his questions. But if it did, He'll surely jump off the window and ran back to his mother's arms.

"This is so insane" he told the screen once again before turning his phone off.

Only one question was clear to his mind right now and it's "Why does it have to be you?".

"Why does it have to be you Kim Dahyun."
