Scarlett...
We all sat, cramped up in Vanya's car as she drove towards the direction of some farm where the woman she loves is supposed to be...along with her son who is supposedly in danger. I don't really understand I am just here to help any way I can.
Sitting on Five's lap would be considered a dream come true for many people I believe. But me sitting here with his hand securely around my waist, preventing me from any movement...I feel a bit held back and uncomfortable. Not that Five's sudden proximity isn't appealing but sitting on his lap with his hand crushing my waist isn't the most comfortable way of traveling.
Vanya was nervously glancing around, trying to see the farm even when we were all the way back in the city. She seems really nervous about whatever is happening there. I mean none of us really know what we should expect there to see, we just know it might not be good.
I felt bad that Vanya had to worry like this. She genuinely cares for the two of them. It is nice to see her feel such a connection to someone. I know that she never got this familiar feeling with any of us. Even if we are considered family, she never had a strong bond with any one of us. We were just there for her to sometimes spent time with but we all had someone else to be with.
Sadly the truth is she was never in the mind of anyone as the first choice. My mind was mostly on either Klaus, Five, or Ben. Vanya was just one of the last results. And now I feel bad for behaving like that. But at least now she has someone that truly cares for her and she truly cares for them. It is nice to see her developed feelings...this time not for someone that is trying to kill all of us.
But with caring and love also comes the incredible worry. When you care for someone you worry about them when they could be in danger. And that feeling is truly agonizing.
"Hey," I said softly, touching her arm carefully. Just so I won't startle her with any sudden movement. She gave me a sideways glance, still trying to keep her main focus on the road in front of us. "It will be okay. We will help you save them." I said softly, a small smile reaching my lips. Vanya returned the gesture, but her eyes still betrayed the incredible worry she felt.
"Thanks." She said, her head turning back to the road. This route seems to be abandoned because I didn't see a single car coming our way. So as long as we manage to keep the car on the road we are good.
"Is it just me or is it suddenly getting colder?" Klaus asked from the back. His voice slightly shaky from how cold he felt. I glanced back at him to see both Allison and Diego feeling the effects of the cold. Luther in the far back had a confused expression plastered on his face.
"What do you think is going on?" I asked Five, leaning into his chest some more. Not that I suddenly feel cold but it was just an instinct.
"I think that there is a snow blizzard that is raging over the barn." Five answered with a shrug, not even looking at me, just staring out of the front window.
"That was oddly specific," I muttered confused by how imaginative the description of what could be causing the cold weather. Five rolled his eyes and grabbed my face with his free hand to turn me to look out of the window. My eyes widened when I noticed the snow falling from the angry looking grey clouds. And a flash of weird lightning and cyclone that were coming from the roof of the barn.
Well, that is not something you see every day. Maybe Vanya had all the right to be nervous about this. My mind raced for solutions of how to stop the angry wind that swirled all around the farm. The falling snow that had now covered most of the land around the farm caused the tires of our car to squeak and slip on the frozen surface.
