Scarlett...
"Look, I know Dad wasn't exactly an open book. But I do remember one thing he said. Mom was, well, designed to be a caretaker, but...also as a protector." Vanya said when Klaus and I walked into the room. I used my wind powers to get myself up on one of the stuffed heads of some poor animal and I sat down there, while no one even noticed me. Except for Klaus who rolled his eyes at my obsession of being somewhere high so I could see everything.
"What does that mean?" Allison asked confused. I sighed and hung up head down my legs being tangled with the antlers of this animal.
"She was programmed to step in if someone was in danger of losing their life, simply said." All the heads turned to me as I said that. Allison gasped when she saw me hanging upside down. Klaus' eyes widened and he almost runs over to me to catch me and Diego just chuckled.
"Scarlett get down from there you might fall," Allison ordered all scared for my well being. The mom in her can be sensed from afar. Since when she started to be a caring sister? I untangled my legs but remained upside down as I just levitated like that. I sent a cheeky wink to Allison making her shake her head the poor girl was all stressed. Klaus walked over to me and slapped the back of my head frowning.
"I almost lost my shit," He whispered to me making me chuckle. I pulled myself up so I was once again sitting comfortably on the head of this whatever it is.
"Well, if her hardware is degrading, then...We need to turn her off." Luther said continuing with the talk.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, wait."
"You are not touching my mom giant man!" I yelled at my brother angrily.
"She's not just a vacuum cleaner you can throw in a closet. She feels things, I've seen it!" Diego said determinedly. I am with him, there is no way they are turning mom off.
"She just stood there, Diego, and watched our father die," Luther said as if he had already decided about the destiny of the woman that took care of us all those years.
"She was more of a parent to us than our father ever was," I argued but of course, everyone ignores the kid.
"I'm with Luther," Allison said making me groan.
"Surprise, surprise," Diego remarked sarcastically making Allison scoff. There is nothing for her to be angry for. Diego is just stating the truth. Allison was and will be always gagged up with Luther, no matter what.
"Shut up."
"I'm with Diego!" I yelled loudly from a top. Luther looked up at me and he and Allison shared a look.
"She shouldn't get a vote." Luther decided.
"What?"
"Why?" Both me and Diego voiced our questions.
"Scarlett has a mind of thirteen-year-old, it is not like Five who's consciousness is 58. Scarlett shouldn't be trusted with decisions like these because she's still just a child." Luther explained and to my disappointment, no one opposed that. Only Klaus looked at me sympathetically. Everyone turned to Vanya who was shocked by the sudden attention she got.
"I...I don't..." She was cut off by Diego who wanted to get this quickly over with.
"Yeah, she shouldn't get a vote."
"I was gonna say that I agree with you."
"Okay. She should get a vote." I laughed at Diego's quick change. He then turned to my brother who was just looking down at the glass with a whiskey he had poured himself earlier. "What about you, stoner boy? What do you got?" Klaus slowly lifted his head and you could see there was something off with him.
