I am sorry it took so long to update. I wanted to publish this chapter on Saturday already but this weekend I was celebrating my birthday so I was a bit preoccupied. But the other updates should be sooner now that I am on Winter break
Scarlett...
So just to get everyone in the picture here, we were walking towards the grassy knoll. The old Five needs to do his job there or whatever. He is still too stunned whenever he looks at me to speak so I only got this from Luther once they joined me outside the pub. Luther has been walking so close to him now that I am starting to get suspicious about their unusual closeness. Luther was never this close to any of us if we don't count Allison but I guess there were different reasons for that.
The two of them were leading the way in the front, while I was stuck back here with our regular Five, who was annoying the hell out of me at the moment. Somehow he figured that he had said something bad to me back there and now he thinks I am mad at him. I mean...he is not wrong. I was furious but at the same time, I am not because it is just too satisfying to see Five like this.
"You can't honestly be still mad at me, can you?" Five asked, walking next to me like a total nutjob. Every few seconds looking over his shoulder as if someone was following him. A crazy person this is. With a stoic calmness, I turned my head slowly to him and with the uttermost seriousness, I looked into his wide eyes.
"I honestly can," I answered, a satisfied smile reaching my face when I heard his groan. We continued after the two that were leading the way to somewhere. The content grin that was still present on my face was seriously bothering Five.
"You are enjoying this aren't you?" He accused angrily, walking by my side, glaring at the side of my face as I kept my eyes trained forwards.
"Very much." The answer caused him to let out an angry scream. Might have been an exaggerated reaction a bit but seeing Five in his current state he didn't really care. I walked up on some kind of bridge. The feeling of uneasiness lingering in my stomach as I watch the old Five and Luther talk. I don't trust that grandpa version of my boyfriend.
Five can be a sneaky bitch when he wants to so I am practically sure that this one possesses the ability as well. Therefore there is no telling what he is planning for us at the moment. I tried to get closer to eavesdrop on their conversation, but Five stumbling up the stairs caught my attention more. He was turning around to glare at the people that were staring at him.
"What are you looking at?" He questioned the random passerby angrily. I sighed and walked over to him tugging on his arm to get him to walk. "See something funny?" Five was still talking to the person that was already leaving.
"Yes, you, you moron shut up finally," I growled pulling him behind me. I saw Luther look back at us, giving me a sympathetic look. A lady walked past us, slightly confused by Five's acting. I feel like most people think of him as a drunk teenager. Especially in this timeline, not the best option.
"Mind your business! Or I'll give you something to stare at." Five snapped at her causing her to look at us outraged and start walking faster to get away from us. "You wish you could pull off these shorts!"
"I am sorry!" I called to her, embarrassed by the events. With a cold glare, I turned to my boyfriend yanking his arm forward causing him to stumble next to me. "Can you just...not?" I whisper yelled harshly to him, not to attract more attention to us. I have experienced enough shit for one day.
"What?!" Five questioned, not so subtly but the tone of his voice change once he looked into my eyes. "I...um..."
"Listen I know this is hard for you to understand at the moment, but not everyone is particularly interested in you and your schoolboy shorts." I snapped with an eye roll as we passed another person. "Just...I don't know, act as if you have ever possessed any knowledge of communication with the human race."
