Tessa's POV

"And where are we going with your friends?" I ask him while we get in his car.

"In a club. I have to warn you about my friends..."

"Why?"

"So... you're wearing this sexy outfit, I have to admit that. And they will look at you a lot. So, don't pay attention to what they say. Ok?"

"I won't because I have a boyfriend." Tessa, what the fuck is wrong with you? You are single, don't lie anymore.

"You do?"

"Yes."

"Well, I think you are lying because you don't seem to have one." He smirks.

"I assure you I have a boyfriend, but he's in Portland. We don't like to show everyone that we have a relationship." Nice lies, Tessie. I hope he believes me.

After 20 minutes, he parks the car and we go to the entrance in the club. We go to a private room where are Hardin's friends.

"Hi guys!"

"Hello sweetheart!" A blond girl stands up and kiss Hardin on his cheeks and I want to slap her. Tessa! Calm down! Hardin is not yours so you don't have reasons to be jealous.

"Hardin, who's this beautiful lady?" One of Hardin's friends asks while he smirks at me. Ugh, I know that this one is a big asshole.

"She's my..."

"Fiancée. I'm Tessa, Hardin's fiancée. Nice to meet you all!" I'm sorry Hardin. But you deserve this.

"She's obviously lying, friends." She laughs.

"Actually, she's not lying, Cam." He says while he put his hand on my back. Fuck! Why is he playing my game?

"What the fuck, man! Are you joking?!"

"No, Alex. I'm not joking."

"I want to see the ring!"

"Well, we don't have one because she proposed me." What the fuck, Hardin?! What is wrong with you?! You just have to be kidding!

"Honey, can we talk?" I look at him with angry eyes and we go in a quiet place. "What the fuck is wrong with you?!"

"No, no, no. What the fuck is wrong with you, Tessa?! Why did you just told them that you are my fiancée? Are you insane?!"

"And why you get in my game? Huh? Some interest?"

"Let's just not talk about this with them."

"You dragged me here, asshole!"

"Let's just be a happy couple in front of them."

"And what about our proposal?! I'm leaving right now."

"Tess, don't do this to me! Please. We can make a funny story from this. Please..."

"Ok, fine. It's the first and the last time when I'm doing this."

"Deal!" We go back to his friends and I put a fake smile on my face.

"Hardin, I hope you lied us."

"No. Tessa is my fiancée." He sits on the couch and he drags me on his lap. I feel a warmth inside my stomach. Not again...

"Bro, it's lame because this beauty proposed you."

"Right?!" I say while I'm playing with his hair. "You want to know the story of the proposal?"

"Babe, I think they don't want to know about our intimate moments." He says in a sexy voice and this gives me tingling on the back. Fuck! What is he doing to me? "Maybe we will tell them about this another time."

"So that means I lost you?" The blonde girl asks. I think her name is Cam and I still want to slap her.

"You never had me, Cam. Oh, I forget to present you my friends, Tess. From right to left: Alex, Molly, Zed and Camilla."

"It's nice to meet you, guys."

"So... how you two met?" Molly asks.

"Well, she's working for my father. Actually we work together. I felt in love with her from the first moment."

After three hours.

"Hardin, it's time to leave."

"Five minutes."

"No, we're leaving. We have to leave early in the morning, c'mon." I stand up and I take his hand. "C'mon, babe."

"Well, guys, it was nice to see you. If you're coming to Seattle, don't forget to call me."

"See ya, man!"

We say goodbye and we go to his car.

"You owe me, Hardin. Twice!"

"I know. I promise I will repay you, Tess."

"Start to not being rude with the people around you."

"I'll try my best. Thank you for what you did. I really didn't want Cam around me. I had enough of her bullshit in the best."

"You two were together?"

"No! Just fucking buddies, but she seems to want more." He roll his eyes.

We arrive at the hotel and I let him to take a shower first, while I'm checking my phone. I have a message from Kate, my cousin.

Kate: Hello darling. Long time, no talk. Right? How are you?~

Me: Hi lovely cousin. I'm fine. I just arrive at my hotel room. You? How are you doing?

Kate: Hotel room? You have to tell me something? What did I miss since you moved to Seattle?

Me: Uhm, not so much. I came here for a book signing with a co-worker and we went out.

Kate: Oh... That co-worker is a he?

Me: Yes. I smile when I send her this. Why?!

Kate: I need more details.

Me: I can give you more details when we met? It's ok to talk about my love life in messages.

Kate: Or you have business to do with this guy? :>

Me: No! I'm still a virgin, Kate.

Kate: Don't tell me you are waiting until your wedding? 😂

Me: No. I'm just waiting for the right guy. Now, I have to go. I'm going to take a shower and then I'll go to sleep. We're leaving early tomorrow.

He gets out from the bathroom and he sits on the bed. I take lingerie and my pajama and I get in the bathroom. I take a quick shower and I go back to him. It's just a night in a bed with this sexy guy. He won't eat me, right?

"Don't you dare to touch me in sleep." I say while I put a pillow between us.

"Yes, ma'am." He laughs.

"Good night."
