Chapter 29

Tessa's POV

A few weeks later

"Good morning beautiful." He says and he smiles at me.

"Good morning."

"Do you want to make breakfast together?"

"Hmm, yes. But first, let me take a shower and I have to call my mom."

"You want to take a shower alone?" He smirks and I can't believe he's thinking about sex every time.

"Yes, alone! Stop being so insistent. I'm not going to have sex with you."

"I'm joking, Tess."

"Stop joking around me!" I stand up and I want to leave.

"You're leaving without kissing me?"

"You don't deserve a kiss." I smile.

"One short kiss. Please!" I can't resist at his puppy eyes, so I go to him and I give him a gentle kiss.

"See you later, Hardin."

I go in my room and I take some clothes. After this I take a shower and I call my mom.

Phone call

"Hi mom!"

"Tessa, sweetheart! How are you?"

"I'm fine, mom. I just took a shower and now I'm going to eat something, then I'll start to work."

"How's in Vancouver?"

"Great. We were in town a few times and we are working too hard."

"And you? How are you?"

"I'm good. I can say that I'm happy."

"Happy?"

"Yes... Because I have someone... It's my boss's son. We are together for a few weeks and he really make me happy."

"It's good to hear this."

"Mom?"

"Yes?"

"How is going between you and George?"

"Everything is good."

"I'm happy for you."

"What do you know about Noah?"

"Nothing. He is hiding somewhere and I think he is waiting for the right time to come out. But the cops are looking for him."

"But you are safe there, right?"

"Yes. He is protecting me..." I smile, but she can't see me.

"You are smiling, right?"

"Uhm... yes."

"When everything is good in your life, come with him in Portland. I want to meet the man who stole you heart."

"Ok." I laugh. "I have to go. We're having breakfast and then we will start work."

"Ok, baby. Call me again when you have time."

"I will. Bye mom!"

"Bye sweetheart!"

I end the call with my mom and I go downstairs where I smell pancakes and I see Hardin cooking.

"Mmm, smells so good in here."

"I'm making breakfast for a beautiful girl." He turns to me and I go in his arms.

"Where are Kim and Christian?"

"Dad just sent me a message. They are going to Seattle. He has some business to do there so we are alone for the rest of the week." He smirks and he lifts me up on the counter. He sits between my legs and he kisses me.

"Hardin..." I moan his name.

"What?" He goes with kisses on my jaw and my neck.

"Our breakfast..."

"Shit. Yeah, sorry." He moves back and he continue to prepare our breakfast.

"Can we go to the mall today?"

"Yes, why?"

"I have something to buy and we can do some groceries."

"But now, let's eat."

After we eat, we go to the mall. We go first in a shop with clothes, he goes at men category and I go directly to the lingerie. I think I wait enough. It's time to lose something...

I find the perfect lingerie and I paid it before he comes to me. And there he is. 

"What did you bought?"

"Nothing interesting. Some underwear." 

"Oh, I want to see it." 

"It's simple, don't be excited."

After a few hours, we arrive home, we put the groceries in the drawers and fridge. When we are done, his phone is ringing.

"I have to answer..."

"Go..."

Who is calling him? I should be jealous? No! I have to trust him. He likes me and not anyone else, so stop with jealousy, Tessa. I go upstairs and I put the bag with the lingerie in my closet. Then I take off my dress and I hear someone entering in my room. The dress is already on the floor and I have just my lingerie. Shit. I take the dress and I cover with it.

"You scared me, asshole! You don't know to knock at the door?"

"Why I should knock? We are alone. And don't be shy, Tess."

 "Can I ask you something?"

"Yes."

"Who called you?"

"You are jealous?"

"No."

"I'm just curious. But if you don't want to tell me, it's ok."
