First Chapter

The alarm on my mobile woke me up at 6.05 AM. I turned the vibration off and rubbed my right eye, while I stretched out my other hand. After I found my glasses, I put them on and looked at my mobile, still laying on my stomach. I saw that it was 6.10 AM already and groggily tried to not move too much, hoping I wouldn't open a wound. I went to the bathroom, finished my business, and started my daily check-up. No wounds needed to be bandaged again, meaning that the wounds from yesterday luckily didn't open up, while I rested. I probably should have slept but, sleeping would probably only worsen the wounds and I couldn't deal with any more aching open wounds, especially since I am close to running out of paracetamol and sleeping pills.

I should get some today

Not even bothering to take time to look for an outfit, I took out the next best things there were. A navy green colored t-shirt, a washed-out grey hoodie, and a pair of dark blue jeans. On the way to the door, I quickly put my long black hair into a fish braid.

As soon as I opened the door of my room to the hall, I knew I had to keep quiet and not even get the silly idea of comfortably walking around. I was now on the battlefield. I carefully tiptoed down the stairs and was greeted by the overwhelming scent so cigarettes, alcohol, and a few other drugs. I made my way to the small kitchen area in the house and made breakfast.

Two bacon pieces along with an omelet, a cup of coffee, and a bottle of beer were placed on the dinner table which I had to clean up after yesterday's accident. It was a miracle that the table didn't even get a crack from yesterday, while I stood there contemplating whether I should take the pills now or later. Pondering if I shouldn't save the few pills I had, for later, if I really couldn't bear the pain anymore.

After I finished wiping most of yesterday's leftovers or casualties, that being glass pieces and my blood, I went to the Livingroom, not even daring to touch a thing, and went over to see if he was in sight. After he hadn't shown up for a good 10 min. I decided to look out the window looking at the drive-in to see no car being parked there, meaning that I unnecessarily worried and cooked. Letting out a small unnoticeable relieved sigh, I turned to the beer and put it back into the fridge, since he wouldn't like me wasting the beer. I was tempted to eat the breakfast but decided against it.

I looked at the clock and it was 6,45AM, meaning I had about 45-50 minutes to make something to eat or waste the time. I decided that it would be wiser to eat something since school food is sadly not guaranteed and I didn't want to collapse again in school. That would only lead to more unpleasant situations.

I looked through the cupboards and fridge to see if I could eat something that he wouldn't notice is missing. I saw a few granola bars and took all of them, also taking a packet of noodles. I quickly boiled the salted water and put the noodles in, waiting exactly 8 min. before taking them out. While I waited, I cut a few tomatoes and then proceeded to serve both. the small pieces of the tomatoes giving the noodles a little more taste and flavour. My alarm hadn't made a noise yet, meaning that I had to at least have 15min. left. I got my backpack from my room and put my beanie on and went to school.

At school, I was about 10min too early. I took my time on the way and listened to music. The halls were not empty, as there were a few passing teachers or a few of the nerds. Me being kind of- kind of not included.

I mostly nodded my head as a greeting to the teachers, who of course most ignored my existence as they passed me or didn't reciprocate it. I was looking out of the window while the music was now blaring through my earphones. looking at the scene in Infront of the school, students were slowly starting to flood into the classrooms. As usual, nobody tried to greet me. The teacher arrived and started his lesson, me like always paying attention, but at the same time not. My thoughts always turning to other things, which disrupted the full understanding of the lesson.

In the cafeteria, I finally got my tray of school lunch and went to sit somewhere on the outside of the big group of tables. I found a pretty empty table, where only two nerds sat and joined them, only nodding to greet them, which they reciprocated. Just as I was about to take a bite of the sandwich, someone from behind me tapped me on the shoulder. I immediately stopped my motion and put the sandwich down. Because of my aching back, I still couldn't move my back easily. So, I just turn my head and who did I see Brian. The whole cafeteria turned silent. Even the popular table. Only the one way back in the cafeteria still had a few conversations and didn't bother paying attention. That is the table of the' bad boys'.

Back to the situation Brian turned to the other two and asked 'Now what do we have here, the lonely nerdy here has finally found some friends! But are they really her friends? Are you the wimps' friends?'
