Chapter 6
What happened before: He suddenly had a mischievous look in his eyes and asked 'Now why should I do that now? Especially as you weren't that nice to me in the directors office and blatantly ignored what I said. What would you do for me in exchange?'
Fair point.
Its good to see that I was right about how he probably had hidden intentions. Who didnt, arent we all after all selfish? There is nobody in the world who isnt.
Still a little part of me believed that he was just joking, and trying to prank me. He probably wanted to make fun of me because of my attitude towards him. He probably isn't even that bad and was trying to be more comfortable with each other, especially as we are siblings.
Cut it out! Being siblings doesn't mean blind trust. He could also just be trying to trick us into believing that he wanted to be family! Why would he want to be family with a person he doesn't even now? Especially as I was a baby when he saw me the last time.
I shrugged, going along with it for now, wanting to see what he would make me do. ' No idea huh, hmmm? '
'How about you invite me over' I knew it he just wanted to- 'or buy me ice cream?'
What?! Ok, replay. Ice cream? What was his goal?
'Why?' I asked not clarifying, for what exactly I asked. 'Well, um, I just want to get to know you better, as you are my little sister and I am pretty sure that a restaurant isn't the best place to talk. So, I thought that your house would be a quiet place. The ice cream was because we could walk around and talk if, it was what you preferred, And I actually really wanted to eat ice cream.'
I was stunned. But didn't let it show. ' OK' He had a small smile as he furrowed his eyebrows and had an unsure look on his faces 'What exactly?'
' Ice cream' I said as I decided to carry the gym bag and back-up bag. I hoisted the backup bag on my right shoulder, and slung the gym bag over my head, leaving it to dangle at my left side. Martino had luckily already grabbed my book bag, so he could probably see, that I was already overloaded.I motioned for him to start going, and he started going towards the parking. I looked at the clock as we passed a hallway and saw that only 45 minutes had passed.
45 minutes that completely changed my life.As I was just about to philosophically question everything, like I always do, Martino interrupted my thoughts, by trying to start a conversation' Which car do you think is mine?' we were now outside the building and could already see the parking lot. I analyzed him more carefully this time:
a cleanly shaved jaw, his hairdo was on spot, making him look professional. Well taken care of nails and the cufflings he wore were silver, with a golden engravement. The fabric his suit was made of seemed of high quality. He seemed to be a successful businessman, who had a lot of contact with his business partners.
While I was staring at Martino, he was looking at me, and furrowed his brows slightly. As if he was deep in thought, and didn't like what he was thinking about. I looked at the parking lot and saw a few pricey cars, which I could pair to the students. I stopped when I saw a really expensive sleek silver car, that had matt black wheels. And a few other tunings. I didn't know who this car belonged to, so I walked over to it, as it was the only one that I couldn't place and probably not belong to a student here.
