Chapter 8

What happened before:

Just as he was about to continue, my mobile rung. I took it out and saw an unfamiliar number. I was confused but didn't show it. Tim was still trying to avoid his brothers hard glares and wrath, the rest beside Martino were entertaining themselves or watching in amusement how the brown-haired boy shot glares at Tim and Tim would always react with a jump or something like that. Though Martino gave me an questioning look.

I answered the call, but had yet to speak up. It was still on the line till 'Hello? Am I speaking with Miss...

'Miss Marina Ariti Doukas Tsitak?'

asked a feminism voice. I immediately tensed but tried to play it off, as I was still in public. Not a lot of people knew my whole name.

'Yes' I answered with a cold voice.

'good. I finally reached you. I'm calling because of the will of your mother Dianna Viktoria Tsitak and step father Dravik Morin have left behind. '

She stated. 'Yes? What is it?'

'Well, its seems a bit complicated do you have something to write on?'

'Why-Wait a minute please' I said. I turned to Tim, catching his attention 'Pen paper' He furrowed his brows but did as I said. He gave me his whole college block, and a pen. I walked to the car, ignoring the questioning look of Martino and put the college block on top of the silver car.

'Hello? I'm back' I informed.

'Ah yes, so did you know that your mom and your stepfather both left a will?'

' Eh. Not exactly. I knew that Dravik wanted to rewrite his, but I didn't know she had one. Excuse me but, what is this about?'

'Ehm, well it seems as if your stepfather didn't follow the will of your mother, and embezzled a bit of the money that was for you'

'He did what?' I was fuming with anger and it was evident in my voice. I took a calming breath and turned around leaving the college block and looking at the others. Only a few were looking back at me. Most eyes were trained on Tims reactions as his brother was giving him still an earful. I knew I couldn't hold this conversation in public and had to end it quickly if I wanted to keep my emotionless face.

'He uhm embezzled a part of the money, which was supposed to be for you.' She spoke. I was raging, but from outside it seemed like I was the calmest ever as I took deep small breaths, to calm me. Trying not to be too attention catching.

'How much?'

She sighed and said 'Uhm about only a little part was opened to him, to use for you. That was ehm, $ 250.000.' I sighed.

' Was that all there is to it? Because I'd like to know why we are doing this over phone instead in person'

' Well, this case was transferred to me as the previous lawyer went into labor yesterday. And my office is in California'

I closed my eyes and said 'That won't be a problem we can reschedule the meeting to another day as I will be moving there soon. Could you just summarize what the situation is?' I asked her.

'That's good, so it seems as the will of your mother has yet to be fulfilled and that in the will of your stepfather, he had declared you as the lone bearer of all of his belongings'
