"Hi, Soo", I greeted her after she picked up her phone. I was standing in my room bobbing on my feet excitedly.

"Hey, girl. Aaaand? How was your date?", she asked as excited as I was.

"It was great. He's such a sweet guy", I told her playing with a strand of my hair, "but more importantly, how about our next date?"

"You'll go on a second date? That's great news", she said happily.

"No, not really a second date. The second date will have to wait. The next time we'll see each other will be on myyy... birthday party!", I said jumping in excitement.

"What, really? You'll actually throw a birthday party?", she squealed, "woah, I'm so happy. I was already fearing you wouldn't."

"Well, yea. He kind of talked me into it. But I really want to do it", I explained, "and I hire you to organize it with me."

"Yes!", she said, "that's such an honour, Y/N. Thank you."

"Of course, dear", I said smiling, "okay, so we have one week and a lot to do. Let's begin!"

We spent the whole week getting everything ready for the party. I invited the few friends I had and Soojung the rest, since she knows a lot more people than I do and I don't want to throw a party with only 10 guests.

The only problem left were my parents so I decided I'd talk to my mother about it. She already said yes to the party but I really didn't want them to be home when everyone would come to my party. It would be a mood killer.

"Mum?", I asked gently knocking on the door of my parents' bedroom.

"Come in, darling", she said and patted on the bed signalling me to sit down next to her so we could talk.

"I don't know if I'm asking for too much, but I would appreciate it a lot if you weren't home when I throw my party on Saturday", I told her feeling a bit bad for asking.

"I already thought about that, sweetie", she said patting on my thigh to reassure me, "I made sure Wook will have a sleepover with one of his friends from school and your dad and I will be going to Soo Ah. She invited us over already weeks ago so we could get to know each other. However, we never found the time for it because your father was so busy with his new job."

"Oh, that's great. Thank you so much, mum", I said hugging her tightly.

"You're welcome. You know, I just want to be the cool mum", she said jokingly.

"Aw, mum you were already cool", I said laughing and pecked her cheek.

"Oh one more thing, Y/N", she said before I left the room, "you'll have to invite Jungkook too. Be so kind."

"Yea, sure", I said nodding.

Right. I haven't thought about Jungkook at all up until now. We also haven't talked since our conversation on the balcony. I went back into my room and before I turned on the light I noticed Jungkook in his room.

It seemed like he had just done a workout because off the sweat on his forehead and his wet hair.

"Okay", I said to myself and decided to get over with this right now. I'll just ask him. There's nothing about it.

I turned on my lights and opened the door stepping out on the balcony. He hadn't noticed me yet and I wanted to climb over to his balcony this time. I had never done it before and now that I was really thinking about doing it, I realized how far away they actually were.

I put my hands on the cold balustrade and was about to lift myself up when I heard his voice.

"You're not thinking about jumping, are you?", he asked chuckling at my attempt to come over, "because that would be a huge loss for this world, you know."

"Ugh, Jungkook", I groaned annoyed, "you don't think I can make it? I'll show you."

I lifted myself up and swung my legs over the balustrade. I pulled my body to the balustrade on his balcony and I was almost there when I lost my balance.

He quickly wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me away from the abyss. I was breathing heavily and hugged him tightly.

"Are you crazy?", he asked panting as I stayed in his embrace not ready to let go yet. I leaned my head on his chest and I could hear his rapid heart beat. That was really close.

"Thank you", I whispered as he slowly put me back on my feet.

"Don't ever do that again", he said piercing me with his dark eyes, "you'll have to go through my front door if you want to come over again."

"Okay, I'm sorry", I said looking to the ground.

Why the hell is the only thing on my mind his pink soft lips? Now you've totally gone crazy, Y/N. Almost dying and the only thing you can think about is kissing him? Great, well done.

"So what was the actual reason why you did that stunt there?", he asked moving a bit away from me and I immediately noticed the cold air.

"I wanted to ask you if you want to come to my birthday party on Saturday", I said a little bit embarrassed.

"Yeah, sure. But next time just text me", he said reproachfully.

"Mhm", I agreed blushing, "so I'll just go downstairs and go home using the front door."

He nodded and we walked downstairs in silence. I was very glad that we didn't bump into Soo Ah because that would've been very weird.

"So, I'll see you Saturday?", I asked turning around once again before I left.

"Yes. Do I have to get you anything?", he asked shyly looking at something behind you..

"No, don't bother. I'm fine, really", I quickly denied. He nodded and I waved goodbye leaving as quickly as possible.

What a mess.
