The boy next door

Chapter 11

Uff, that was close, I thought as I rushed back into my house and let myself slump on the sofa. Now everything was alright between me and Jungkook but I still had feelings for him. I needed to stop thinking about him like that, it would only destroy our friendship. And I really didn't want that, because he became important to me.

Suddenly a message on my phone made me snap out of my thoughts. Unknown number.

Wtf?, I thought chuckling and turned off my phone. Someone really seemed to be obsessed with Jungkook but no one can threaten me. I will keep talking to him even if someone wants me to stop it. This person doesn't even have the guts to tell me this in person. I couldn't take it seriously.

time skip

"Ugh, I hate Mondays", Soojung groaned and waited for me while I filled my locker with books after the first period. "Me too", I said and closed the door, "let's go. It's time for maths!"

"Noo!", she whined and I dragged her behind me.

I haven't seen Jungkook yet and I was really curious if he still will be nice to me also in school. Maybe he didn't want to be seen with me in school..

The door of the classroom was opened and he walked casually inside, completely late. He looked directly at me and spotted the empty seat next to me. The teacher didn't even complain so he just went to the back of the room and sat down next to me.

"Hey", he said and winked at me, almost making me blush again. No, don't blush. Don't show him how you feel. You can't, I thought.

"Where were you?", I hissed trying not to call the teacher's attention. "I skipped the first period", he told me and leaned back.

I rolled my eyes and decided to ignore him for the rest of the class. He might not care about his grades but I did. "Hey!", he complained as I didn't answer him.

"What?", I whisper-yelled at him.

"Are you not going to talk to me now?", he asked pouting.

"No, because I do care about my education", I said grumbling.

"Miss Y/N, maybe your private conversation is more interesting?", the teacher said after he had heard us talking.

"No, sir. I'm sorry", I apologised flustered and threw an angry glance at Jungkook who smiled satisfied.

For the rest of the lessons he fortunately kept his mouth shut.

"Yayyy! Lunch!", Soojung screamed and ran to the cafeteria. "I've never seen someone so happy about food", Taehyung said to me and we both laughed following her.

"Oh no, I forgot something in my locker. I'll join you soon", I said as my English book crossed my mind. We had an exam soon so I wanted to take it home today so I could start studying.

"Okay, see you", he said giving me his warm smile and I waved goodbye.

"Here we go", I said to myself putting it out and closing the door.

When I turned around someone suddenly stopped me and pressed me against the lockers. I gasped surprised as I looked into Jungkook's face which was so close to mine that I could feel his breath on my skin.

"Woah, Jungkook. You startled me", I said trying to ignore the fact of the almost nonexistent distance between us. I escaped from the awkward situation and turned to go.

"I need your help", he said sheepishly as I started walking to the cafeteria because I was very hungry.

I chuckled and looked at him from the side. "My help? I don't know if you deserve that", I joked.

"If you don't help me I'll have to force you", he said smirking and started tickling me so that I almost dropped my book.

"Okay, okay", I said laughing and tried to catch my breath, "what is it?"

"So, you know.. We have that English test next week and I really need to pass", he explained scratching the back of his neck.

"And you want me to help you study?", I guessed and chuckled shaking my head.

"Yeah, maybe.. It's-", he said feeling uncomfortable but I interrupted him.

"I'll do it, okay?"

"Really?", he smiled happily like a cute bunny and I laughed.

"Yes, I wanted to study today anyway. So we can also study together", I said and entered the cafeteria.

"Yes! You're the best, y/n", he said and put an arm around me shaking me a bit.

So he doesn't care what others think about us, I thought to myself and happily got some food. Suddenly the threat message appeared on my mind but I shook it off. No one can tell me what I should do or not.

After school I was at home lying in my bed and studied for school when I received a message on my phone from an unknown number. I groaned and opened it.

My heart was racing as I read his last message. When I met him at Jungkook's party I really liked him and I wanted to get to know him better and now..

I smiled to myself and looked out of the window just happy that I got a date with this cute guy. Suddenly I noticed as I kept staring out of the window at the neighbour's house that someone was moving in the room on the other side.

It was this boy again I saw already once when I had just moved in. The one who seemed to be able to look at the bottom of my heart. And before I could move and hide to not look like a creepy stalker he turned around and noticed me. Oh no.

I coughed as I recognized the familiar face. He smirked and opened the window to step on the balcony. It was Jungkook totally himself.
