complete me [kageyama x hinata]

It had been 2 weeks since Hinata and Kageyama had realized their feelings for each other. Neither of them knew how the other felt, so, at practice, they tried to act normal. Sometimes Kageyama would apologize to Hinata for yelling more often than he would on a normal day, and Hinata often found himself laughing at Kageyama's weird jokes and actually looking where he was going at practice.

Hinata often found himself thinking about kissing Kageyama before bed, in class, really any time he could get to think about that moment, he would. It was a horrible feeling. Not knowing. Why did Kageyama have to be such a sadistic bastard? That fakeout kiss was totally uncalled for. Even if he was asking personal questions! They have known each other for years, it was normal to know personal stuff! Hinata didn't even know why Kageyama was such a cold asshole.

Practice camp had ended and school started back up. But they were going on a break because some kid broke the water pipes as a prank. Hinata walked into the locker room to change for practice. It was just him and Kageyama.

"h-hey.."

"Hey."

"what are you going to do over the break?" Hinata didn't like all the small talk.

"I'm going to be home alone, my parents are going on an adult cruise. So they left me the keys and money for food."

(flashback)

"Tobio, your father and I are going on a cruise for our anniversary. Normally you'd be in school and busy with volleyball but this time your school is going to be closed." Kageyama's mother was packing her bag and talking to him. He knew she was always overly concerned with his wellbeing.

"I'll be ok mama. I can cook myself meals and still have volleyball."

"Still Tobio. Will you invite your little friend, Shoyo, was it? You too seem to get along well."  Eh. he and Hinata get along. But being with him for a whole week. Kageyama wasn't sure if he could keep his feelings in check that long. "Just think about it, sweetheart." 

"Yeah sure."

(back in the locker room)

Kageyama took a deep breath in. Was he really about to do this... "Hey, shoy- Hinata... My mom wanted me to ask if you would like to stay at my house over the break. She thinks I'll be too lonely by myself all week." God, how embarrassing.

Hinata perked up, his shirt on his two arms hanging in front of his body. Kageyama stood there shirtless, his body was so perfect. He took a moment to move his eyes down to Kageyamas V-line. It was so defined.

"Hey dipshit, are you going to answer my question?" Fuck... was he really staring for that long.

"uh- yeah, I'd have to get clothes from my house but-"

"Bring a swimsuit, I live by the beach so we'll be able to go swimming." Swimming with Kageyama. That sounds nice. Kissing Kageyama under the water. Wait, I can't swim. Don't say anything. Just stay in the shallow part of the water. 

"Ok! I'll go home after practice and pack my bag."

"I'll come with you to make sure you don't forget anything."

"Hey! I'm not a child! I can do things for myself!"

"No, Hinata, you can't." Kageyama began to get excited about having Hinata over. The moment ended when Tsukishima, Yamaguchi, and Ennoshita walked in together, causing Kageyama and Hinata to quiet about their sleepover. 

"Hey nerds, you better hurry up and stop flirting before Tanaka comes in and towel whips us all..." Hinata almost shot back but instead stayed quiet and walked into the gym, planning his week with Kageyama. 

Kageyama didn't know how well the weekend was going to go, but at least he could float out with Hinata to his favorite spot. It was a little rock island just about a 5-minute swim from the shore behind Kageyamas house. There were small patches of grass that were overgrown with flowers. He liked to go there when he got upset or sad. It would be nice to bring Hinata there. He couldn't wait to see the little twerp in his bathing suit, swimming up to the little island. Kageyama stood by the net eating a protein bar, imagining Hinata laying out on the rocks, tanning his body.  He could barely focus during practice and accidentally set to Tanaka when he and Hinata were supposed to be working their quick.

"Hey, ballbrain! I appreciate you thinking of me but you and Hinata's quick needs work." Well, that was about as embarrassing as ever. The rest of the practice went ok.

"Hinata. Let's walk back to your house, I'll help you pick out clothes and say hi to your mom." Kageyama was ready to start the week and he was determined to figure out if Hinata had any interest in him. This was it.
