Part 17 Khushi's point

Khushi stood like a statue, seeing Ratna smiling at her. She lowered her hand swiftly. Ratna looked at Arnav and he nodded yes.

"Chutki..."

Khushi gulped down not knowing how to respond to her. At the same time, Garima came out of the room, asking,

"Who is that, Khushi?"

She rooted at the place, seeing Arnav standing with Ratna. Her lips unknowingly uttered,

"Ratnaji..."

Ratna became emotional seeing her. As Garima didn't expect, she got inside the house and hugged her.

"Garima... how many years... why did you leave the house without telling me? Do you know how many times I came searching for you? No one gave me ant details about you..."

Not only Garima and Khushi but also Arnav wondered. Did Ratna search for them?

Breaking the hug, she smiled at Garima.

"You changed a lot and looking so majestic. Every woman should be like you who protect her child like a warrior. I'm so proud of you, Garima."

"Haan Ratnaji... I read it somewhere... we don't know how strong we are until being strong is the only option..." Garima smiled.

"You are not wrong Garima. But not everyone withstands the storm... it needs strength to face a crucial situation of life. After losing your husband, you gave a reputed life to your daughter... undoubtedly, it's a great achievement..." Ratna prized her wholeheartedly.

Garima nodded yes.

"Khushi... go and get them coffee," Garima ordered.

Khushi rushed to the kitchen.

"Please take your seat."

Garima looked at Arnav who is still standing out of the house.

"Come in Beta..." Garima called him.

Arnav nodded yes and entered smilingly.

Khushi prepared coffee quickly as she already boiled the milk.

"Chotte told me what had happened to you. I'm really sorry Garima. I could do nothing. I was useless AT THAT TIME." She stressed.

Garima looked at her awfully. What does that mean AT THAT TIME? What is she going to do NOW? What could she do?

"It's all our fate, Ratnaji... there is no use of talking about it." Garima said.

"No Garima, don't say like that. Chotte has not forgotten anything...."

"But..."

Rant stopped her showing her palm. They saw Khushi coming with coffee. She served it to the trio. She extended the tray towards Arnav looking down. She waiting for him to take the cup but Arnav didn't take it. She raised her head and looked at him to know whether he is noticing her or not. She was dumbfounded, seeing him smiling at her. He took the cup smilingly. Khushi dropped her jaw as he made her look at him. She stood with the tray. Ratna sipped the coffee.

"You made a good coffee." She smiled. So did Khushi. Ratna continued.

"I know what's confusing you, Garima. He obeyed his Dadi, only to get married to Chutki because his Dadi didn't oppose him and acted like she really is interested in the marriage. But we didn't know she was playing and didn't expect that she would use Chutki in that drama... however, she tried to keep them away, destiny made them meet..."
