Part 1 Back to India

Arnav got down from the Rolls-Royce car, in front of RM. And he was welcomed with BAND music. He showed his palm to the troop to stop the music.

"I don't like noise." He said emotionlessly.

They stopped and looked at Subhadra who felt a kind of domination in Arnav's tone. She smirked with pride. After all, he is Raizada heir. This is what she wanted. This is why she sent him to London. If he stays in London, he will become a bundle of superiority...he will understand what really their status is...especially, he won't think about a low-class girl for sure. Her pride touched the sky when Arnav touched her feet.

"Hope your journey was not hard..." Subhadra asked formally,

Arnav nodded his head formally in return. Arvind gave him a warm hug.

"Welcome back, my son."

"How are you dad?"

"Doing great..."

He didn't give heed to Ratna who was standing next to Arvind.

"Go and get fresh. We will have lunch together."

"No Dadi... I had something on the flight. I'm full."

Subhadra glanced at Arvind and he was supposed to say something,

"I'm tired... I'm going to my room."

Arnav headed towards his room, not waiting for there.

Ratna was disappointed by his act not talking to her. Arvind touched her shoulder in a consoling manner. Faking a smile, she went to the kitchen to prepare juice for him with a heavy heart.

Arnav stood at the entrance of his room... the room where he used to be... where he played... where he hopped... where he LIVED a real-life...

The room had been changed as per his taste... full of black and white. It must be done by Ratna. Who else other than she could understand him? She knew what he likes...what he wants...

Of course, he ignored her. It usually happens between them. Arnav gives cold-shoulder for a while whenever they meet as this is the way of showing his anger and dissatisfaction. But this time, Ratna didn't expect that. She thought Arnav will be happy as he came to India forever but Arnav is Arnav.

As expected, Ratna came to his room with his favorite orange juice. Arnav sensed that who was facing the swimming pool.

"Chotte, juice..."

Without turning around, he said,

"Mmm"

"Chotte, are you angry with me... this time too?"

He turned in a shift making Ratna take a step back.

"What do you mean this time too? Because of you, I came to India? It's me... who came breaking all the ties."

"What can I do, Chotte? If I could have done something, I would have brought you here long ago. Don't you know I'm helpless?"

"I was also... but not anymore."

"Leave it Chotte... you came... that's what we want."

"Sit..."

"Why?"

"Won't you do this much for me?"

Ratna sighed and sat on the bed. The next second, Arnav sat on the floor and lay on her lap, making her emotional.

"I love you ma..."

"I'm sorry, Chotte..." She said caressing his hair.

"I miss you..."

"I too..." Ratna shed tears.

Arnav raised his head. What he asked next made Ratna dumbfounded.

"Ma, how is Chutki?" he asked lovingly.

Ratna was horrorstruck. At last, that same thing happened what she has been feared. He has not forgotten HER yet. What will she do now? Of course, she was happy as he proved he is HER SON by his gratefulness. At the same time, what's going to happen further? What will be Subhadra's reaction after knowing this? Ratna was looking at him with a horrified expression, thinking all this, as if he is a ghost. She didn't know what to answer... in fact; she doesn't have an answer to his question.

Arvind came to his room and saved Ratna from Arnav.

"We have been arranged for a welcome party this evening for you, Chotte." He said gladly.

"I don't like such parties, Dad. By the way, you have already welcomed me with a horrible noise." He said coldly.

"But, all our friends would like to see you. That's why this party is."

Arnav chuckled sarcastically.

"Ohhh...is this party is for your friends? Who they are? Why should I come in front of them?"

"Chotte, what kind of question is this? Maji wants to introduce you to our friends and relatives."

"I don't give damn to the friends and relatives, Dad. Where were they in the past ten years when I was left alone in London?"

"Chotte, Maji wanted you to become a superior Personality. That's why we sent you..."

Cutting him,

"Did I ask you to send me? Did I want to become a superior personality? Did you ever ask me what I want? How many times I had pleaded with you, to come to India? Where were your concerns that time, Dad?" Arnav yelled.

Arvind wished that his mother should not hear him talking.

"Chottee... it's all past. Please forgot it..."

Cutting him,

"How simply you have finished, Dad? Will you give my days with my mother back?"

Arvind didn't know what to say. He left his room said nothing. Ratna stood with her head up. The mother and son have to answer for what they did. They controlled her easily but what will they do with Arnav now?

Ratna saw Arnav thinking something deep.

"What do you think, Chotte?"

"Mom, will Chutki come to the party?" Ratna felt a kind of expectation in his tone.

Ratna gulped.

"Didn't you invite her and Garima aunty?"

Ratna nodded NO. Arnav sighed. He knew why. They are not rich people, after all.

"Ok... I will go to her house and meet her."

Ratna's fear crossed its limit. What could she say? They are not there?

"Chotte, have this juice and take a rest for a while..."

Taking the juice glass from her hand, Arnav sipped it gently.

"Chotte, please don't take me wrong. Your Dadi and Dad have a good reputation in this society they will get insulted if you ignore the party."

Arnav looked at her while sipping the juice.

"Trust me; you can leave the party after the introduction."

Arnav nodded yes.

Ratna left the room with the empty juice glass, thinking about what will be Arnav's reaction when he gets to know about why Subhadra wanted him to come to India?

Subhadra wanted Arnav to marry to her friend Kamini's granddaughter. Kamini owned a chain of hospitals named OXYGEN in India.

Subhadra belongs to one of the Royal families of India. She was maintaining the same lifestyle until now. So, there is no wonder if she is a cold-faced woman.
