Chapter 8

Taehyung P.O.V

I came back to the village again, landing on top of a tree

I was back near the alleyway where I had saw the cat with that boy yesterday

But when I saw the cat sleeping safely in the cardboard box, the boy wasn't there with it

Oh shit... was I too late? Was I too early?

I mean... he came here around 11pm yesterday and its only 9pm now

So maybe I'm too early?

Or did he decided not to go out today because of the vampires?

Oh no... but I really wanted to see him again though

Actually, why do I even want to see him? I literally only just saw him for the first time yesterday

I sighed in disappointment and opened my wings, getting ready to take off

I didn't want to go home straight away as I didn't want to see my stupid fiancé and her parents

So I decided to fly much slower this time and maybe roam around the town for a bit

I stopped flying mid-air when I heard somebody whistling below me

As I had vampire senses, I could hear the whistling although it doesn't seem to be coming from near me

I smirked, maybe it's another stupid human coming out for vampires to play with it

I chuckled at the thought and started to flap my wings again

Although I just had a blood bag to drink at the palace before I left, I figured it would be fun to kill another stupid human being

I started to smell blood again and my eyes glowed in the dark

I just let the smell of blood lead the way to wherever this stupid human is

After about five minutes of flying and following the smell of blood, I think I finally found the person

And indeed, it was a human, a human boy in fact

I chuckled and licked my dry lips

" A mortal... "

I landed on a tree in front of the human, thinking to jump down and scare him and then attacked him

But I stopped when I noticed that the mortal was actually the beautiful boy from yesterday

I gulped and just stared at him, he still looks beautiful

Is it just me or did has he gotten more beautiful?

But goddamn, his blood smelled really strong

I wonder why has no vampires attacked him yet?

Are the other vampires just like me? Because for some odd reason, I can't bring myself to attack him
