- Time Skip to night time -

Jungkook P.O.V

I walked along the streets, I had been busy for the whole day so I only got to leave the palace at night

I was now heading to the alleyway in the village to visit the cat again

The weather was always cold at night, so I wore thicker clothing than this morning

I walked into the alleyway with the plastic bag in my hand, containing food and more blankets

When I reached the alleyway, I was surprised to see someone else there with the cat

I frozed in my spot, thinking what if it's a bad guy or worst, a vampire?

The guy must have heard my footsteps because he stood up and turned around

I widened my eyes, seeing who it was

" Oh, Prince Taehyung! " I broke out into a smile and bowed, feeling relieved

" No need to be formal, Jungkook. Just my name is fine "

" Okay Taehyung, what're you doing here? And at night as well? "

" I could ask you the same, I just came out for a walk and saw this little cat "

" Oh, I'm here for the cat too! I brought it food and some hot milk for the cold weather "

" Oh nice! Was it you who brought the cat those pillows and blankets? "

" Yeah, I couldn't bare to let it sleep on the cold floor "

I went to the cat and kneeled down

The cat recognised me and came out of the cardboard box, going to me

" Hehe, hi kitty! " I rubbed the cat's ear, making it purr

" Oh, you like that huh? " I rubbed it's ear again and the cat rubbed it's head against my hand

I heard a chuckle and looked up, only to see Taehyung staring at me

Wait... he had brown eyes now

I thought he had carmine eyes when I brought him back to my palace yesterday night

Oh well, maybe he was just wearing contacts yesterday

I shouldn't worry too much about it

" You're so soft towards animals " Taehyung also kneeled down beside me, so close that our shoulders were touching

I didn't know why but I felt myself blushing

" Yeah, I love animals. Especially cats "

I giggled, petting the cat one more time and then taking out the milk from the plastic bag and pouring it into the bowl

I saw Taehyung reaching out to pet the cat, his eyes held curiosity and a bit of softness in them

" Have you never pet a cat before? " I asked, Taehyung seemed pretty intrigued by the cat

" Yeah... I never cared about animals, but this cat... is really cute "

Then Taehyung looked at me and smiled softly

" Just like you... " Taehyung said, looking straight at me

" W-what? "

Taehyung widened his eyes and coughed awkwardly, looking away from me

" Sorry, ignore what I just said. That was a mistake "

" O-oh okay "

I moved the bowl of milk towards the cat and it began licking it
