Chapter 3
The next days were pretty much uneventful. Bradley was just slowly turning insane because his grades were getting worse and worse but at the same time he couldn't find it in him to really care. He knew that he was bad at school, didn't need to put any effort in school just to prove himself that he wasn't completely useless.
Anyway, it was finally friday and Bradley was somewhat excited to spend time with his two best friends just chilling.
But there was still something called school, that he had to go to beforehand. "Hey Hannah" He called with a tired smile as he plopped on the chair next to his friend. She passed him a friendly smile. "Hey Bradley" She was scribbling down something on a paper and Bradley groaned. "Shit, we didn't have any homework, did we?" He asked, but Hannah quickly shook her head. "No, don't worry" She said. Bradley nodded and rested his head on his arm.
As he scanned the room, his eyes fell on the new girl. She seemed to be reading a book. Bradley then turned his head towards Hannah who was still taking notes. "You aren't studying, are you?" He asked, and chuckled as he noticed that he was right. "I-I just want to improve my grades" She mumbled embarrassed and Bradley caught her eyes wandering towards the new girl. "You wanna be a nerd like the new one?" He asked with a chuckle. Hannah shot him a glare. "Is that a problem, there are some guys who like smart girls. James also-"
"Oh shit" Bradley interrupted her as he burst out laughing. "You're doing this to impress James?" He couldn't stop laughing as he watched his embarrassed friend. "Bradley" She cried out, hiding her face with her hands. "Okay, okay. So, you, like, got a crush on...James?" He said, trying not to burst out laughing again. She groaned and hit Bradley's shoulder. "Y-Yeah" She stuttered out. Bradley studied her face for a moment.
"Are you serious?" He asked as he looked at Hannah.
She sighed and lifted her head. "You know we went to eat ice cream yesterday" She started and Bradley nodded, listening attentively. "And you know...He is kind of really sweet and he is also really funny. I noticed it a few weeks ago, that you know I noticed all those things and I also got kind of jealous as he talked about how pretty the new girl is, even though I totally agree. I just..." She bit her lip as she looked at Bradley, hesitating for a moment. "I just realized that I like him a little more than a friend"
She looked down awaiting to be laughed at but there was just silence. As she looked up she saw Bradley smiling at her.
"Okay, I gotcha"
Hannah looked surprised. "Wait-really?" Bradley nodded cooly. "Of course, you are my two best friends." He said with a proud smile. Hannah smiled widely. "So...what should I do?"
Bradley thought for a moment. "Firstly, don't change anything about you. Just be yourself. But throw subtle hints. Ya know? Like, compliment him." Hannah nodded, mentally taking notes. "He would be a fool if he wouldn't like you, so don't worry about that. But he has to notice that you think he is interesting like that, okay?" Hannah nodded eagerly and high fived Bradley. "Thank you"
Finally it was lunch time. Bradley excused himself blabbering something about having to meet a teacher, so that Hannah could shoot her shot. She was a pretty and funny girl, and he thought that James and her would actually work out pretty well.
He was just wandering along the hallways as he passed Andrew and his friends. "Hey man" Andrew said, smirking at the dark brown haired boy. "What's going?" Bradley called out as he leaned against the lockers opposite of Andrew and his friends. "Not much, just being lonely. Hadn't had a hookup in a few days now" He said making the others laugh. "The new girl seems to be like a cold stone" He said, sighing dramatically which made Bradley chuckled. "That's how they are, the girls." He said and Andrew suddenly gave him a strange look. "Have you had a girl lately, haven't seen you with anybody. Do you have your eyes on someone?" He said, smirking teasingly. Bradley just shook his head with a chuckle. "Not until marriage, you know the rules" The guys laughed and Bradley waved at them continuing his way through the hallways.
