We Can Be Heroes (Wild Card x OC)

Chapter Five

"Well, that was a disaster." Wild Card said holding the bridge of his nose.

"That was awesome." Rewind corrected.

"I'm so exhausted." Noodles said.

A Capella fluctuated again. "Guys...🎶ah🎶...I'm running...🎶ah🎶...out of...🎶ah🎶"

"Breath! We get it." Wild Card said.

"What do we do?" Facemaker asked.

"Don't look at me." Noodles said letting his arms fall. "I'm done."

"We need to find some place to hide." Wheels said.

"Yeah, but where?" I asked.

"The Heroics are all locked in the alien ship." Fast Forward said.

"Not all of them." Missy said.

"You know this how?" Wild Card asked.

Missy walked over to Wheels and looked at his ipad. She signaled A Capella to come over. "Do you think you can get us over here?" She asked.

A Capella nodded and her voice fluctuated again. We all braced ourselves again. "Hey what's over there that's so important?" Wild Card asked.

Before Missy even got the chance to explain we started to shake again. "Okay, this is bad. This is really, really bad." Wheels said.

"Five to one says we die a fiery death." Facemaker said turning to Noddles.

"You're on!" Noodles replied.

"Are you seriously betting on our lives right now?" I yelled at them.

"You can do it, A Capella!" Wheels encouraged. We all cheered her on hoping it was enough to keep her from killing us.

Then she stopped singing and cleared her throat. "Does anyone have a lozenge?" She asked pointing to her throat. Guppy face palmed.

"Hang on!" Missy yelled. We all started screaming as we fell to our most likely doom. Maybe Facemaker was right.

Luckily when we hit the ground we slid into a gazebo. Which means Facemaker lost his bet. I'll rub it in later.

I rubbed my head groaning and noticed I had fallen on top of someone. It was Wild Card.

"Sorry." I said with my face red getting off of him. I held out my hand and helped him up. "It's okay." He said rubbing his head. "Thanks for breaking my fall." "No problem. Anytime." He joked I laughed. "Whatever."

"Ahhhhh! My begonias!" We heard a women scream. "Get out of my flower bed, you little termites!"

"Hi Abuelita!" Missy said. "Ah! Ah, Missy! Come and say hello to your grandma!" She yelled.

We all ran out of the tram. "No way!" Noodles said. "Missy, your grandmother's Anita Moreno?"

"The trainer of the Heroics?" Rewind added.

"She's a legend." Facemaker said.

"No, you have to be dead to be a legend honey. Oh mi amor." She said hugging Missy.

"I am alive and well, which is more than I can say for my gazebo, hmm?"

"Sorry." A Capella said raising her arm.

"We're in trouble, Grandma, and we need a place to hide."

"To hide? You're gonna need to do a lot more than that." She said pointing to the sky. "That thing is moving into position." We looked up and saw the mothership.

"She's right." Wheels said looking at his ipad. "We only have two hours left. It's won't be long now until the takeover begins."

"Everybody, get inside." She said letting us in. "Come, come. Come." Sue said looking up at the ship before following us inside.

"How about some lemonade?" She suggested.

"Yes please." Noodles said.

"Follow me to the kitchen and I'll get you all some." We all followed her to the kitchen and sat down in the chairs as she poured us lemonade.

As she poured it she started lecturing us all about being more like a super hero team. Like our parents.
