Chapter 36

| Sabrina's POV |

As Jasper was staring intensely at the road, we continued to drive down towards my house in his Camaro, all I could do was drum my fingers nervously on my leg it was as if time was going slower by the second, and every little movement that happened outside the window made me jump thinking that it was James.

As we slowly pulled up to my house I jumped out of his Camaro and ran up towards the front door slamming it open only to be shocked to see a devastated and heartbroken father on the other end.

There was a little bit of hope in his eyes as his spirit physically brightened when he saw me walk through the door and in seconds I was pulled into a hug and I heard him whisper " Are y-you going to l-leave me to S-Sabrina?" I was confused at first so I asked him " Dad what are you talking about?".

He took a deep breath before talking slowly to make sure he wasn't going to break down crying " your sister said what your mother told me after she left me, Bella even said she was going to take you with her" I look at him with a horrified face completely speechless on what Bella had told him, that was a low blow to say to him.

I hugged my dad tightly while saying to him " Dad, I need you to tell me where Bella went, she's really upset and is going through a lot of emotional stress, she can't be by herself because she'll make the wrong decisions, so I have to go find her can you tell me what she told you before she left??" Dad brought his hand to his head and ran them through his hair as he thought back to what Bella had told him and after a few seconds he finally spoke, " she said she was going back to Phoenix to see your mother but she's not there anymore she lives in Jacksonville!".

I took a deep breath before saying to my dad " I'm going to get her ok and I want you to stay here so I know that your safe?" He looked at me like he want to protest but once I gave him the look he decided against it.

I gave him one last hug before running out the door towards Jasper's Camaro again jumping inside and slamming the door.

The minute the door closed Jasper started up the Camaro with a roaring sound and we were zooming out of the driveway, Jasper looked at me from the corner of his eyes and said " I know that you're upset, so just tell me what you need to say, I'll listen" I took one deep breath before saying " How could Bella say that to our dad?!, he doesn't know anything at all and she had the audacity to say what our mom told him after she left him that was such a low and cold blow!!" I basically screamed while slamming my fist on the dashboard.

Jasper looked at me before placing his cold hand above my own that was settled on the dashboard he squeezed my hand tightly saying " I understand you're angry but right now will have to deal with that later, because we need to figure out what we're going to do about this creep that's chasing you, you can yell at Bella all you want afterwords but your safety comes first" I looked at him with an irritated face but I also knew that he was right I can't be getting mad at her right now when i'm in such a dangerous position.

As Jasper and I finally pulled up to the Cullens house I jumped out of the car and started to speed walk towards the front entrance Jasper soon came right up to me and said " their all in the garage let's go" as we made our way down to the garage I could hear arguing " Rosalie, Esme can you put these on so the tracker can follow their sent from the jackets...." I could hear Rosalia snarl " why?, what's Bella to me" and as we finally made it down to the stairs I said " Bella may not be anything to you but could you do it for me" Rosalie looked at me with mixed emotions before Carlisle said " Bellas with Edward now and we protect family just like how we protect Sabrina" she looked at Edward one more time before taking my jacket that was brought instead of Bella's.

Rosalie came up to me and pulled me into a hug and whispered in my ear" please be careful, I hate the way the sadistic vampire looks at you.....it reminds me of what happened to me" I gave her a squeeze before hesitantly letting go and soon going over to Jasper who lightly took my forearm and pushed me towards the corner of the garage to speak with me.

Before I could say anything he looked at me with dark golden almost black eyes saying" Darling, I don't want you doing anything that can cause you harm, so for your safety and my sanity please listen to Alice and Sean" I looked at him while biting my lip before finally speaking " I can't promise you that Jasper, I don't know what Bella will do and I have to be there to protect her" He looked at me before taking a unneeded deep breath and saying " Sabrina, I know that you love Bella but your so much more important to me than she will ever be.......I know this may sound heartless but I could give two shits about what happened to your sister as long as your alive and I'm sorry but it's the truth".

I looked at him speechless I didn't know what to say I understood he had no reason to care for my sister personally but I didn't think he would willingly throw her life on the line so easily for me if push comes to shove.

I looked at him and said " but what if I asked you to look after my sister?, what if I begged you to protect her would you still do it?" He looked at me and said " she means nothing to me Sabrina that's what Edwards for because I'm here to protect you not her"  I closed my eyes and remembered we have a much stronger bond then Bella and Edward did so of course he would feel more connected to me than he ever would with Bella, Jasper has no obligation to take care of Bella at all even if I asked him, I only care more for her because she's fully human.

I will always be his main priority even when I wish Bella was at least a little bit important to him but it seems like she wasn't, we had a good staring contest before I finally yield and said " Ok? I will try and not put myself in danger but I can't promise you anything" he gave me a small smile before pulling me into a deep and heated kiss but it didn't last long as Alice was right behind us saying " as much as I love your little moment we have to get moving we're on a really tight schedule".

Jasper gently let go of me and lightly pushing me towards the entrance of the car saying is final goodbyes " please, be careful for me" I looked at him before giving him a gentle kiss again soon pulling away and getting into the car.
