Chapter 37

| Jaspers POV |

A hand suddenly rested on my shoulder as the car left the garage, and when I turned to see who it was, Carlisle was standing beside me.

The man gave me a reassuring smile and said, "if anything bad were to happen to her you would know it" I looked at him for a moment before walking away from the garage door and heading towards the vehicles.

As I finished loading the rest of the essentials we would need to help hunt down this creep, Edward came up beside me and pulled me to the side saying " do you honestly not care about Bella?!" I could tell he was furious just by the way he looked and his emotions were a dead giveaway as they were running through him like a waterfall, he was angry, confused, sad, and in pain.

I looked at him before ripping my arm out of his hold saying " look you're meant to love and protect Bella, I'm meant to love and protect Sabrina what happens to Bella is none of my concern even though she's Sabrina's sister, Sabrina is much more important to me than Bella would ever be!" He looked at me with a cold glare as he snarled " as a brother I would hope you would care for my mate and actually protect her if anything was going to happen to her!!".

I looked at him and growled back "You know I would protect Bella if there were no danger to Sabrina, but at this moment she is in danger, so Bella's life is irrelevant to me as long as Sabrina is at risk!!".

I grabbed the front of Edward's shirt and balled it in between my first and snarled back "And keep in mind this is a two-way street; if she dies, I die, and I couldn't care less about dying but if it meant that Sabrina had to as well then I'm protecting her with every ounce of strength I got!".

Many emotions were going around the room, and most people were worried about a fight breaking out between Edward and me. Suddenly, Rosalie came between us and declared " looked Edward!, Jasper has no obligation to take care of Bella just like how you have no obligation to take care of Sabrina!, but it's a little bit more important if we do take care of Sabrina because if she dies so does Jasper and honestly I'd rather if only one person died instead of two!".

Rosalie challenged him to say something back, but he just looked at her in disbelief before scoffing and walking away, soon getting into the Jeep. Rose looked at me and said " now come on let's go catch a creep" I smiled at her before we raced off towards the jeep and soon speeding down the road.

| Sabrina's POV |

The comforting way Sean and Alice held each other's hands was apparent to me as I sat right behind them. These two make me envious. My hand would have been held by Jasper as well, but he needs to fight this creepy vampire pursuing me and Bella at the moment.

As I watched Bella call our mom for the third time in a row and knew she wouldn't get an answer soon, I glanced over at her. When Bella was brought to our mother's voicemail box, I told her, "Let's leave this, for now, Bella. She'll call you back when her phone is charged." Bella reluctantly smiled before staring out of the window.

In the rearview mirror, Sean gazes back at me and asks, "So what is dating Jasper like?" As we continue to drive toward Phoenix. I said in a calm quiet voice " I have never been treated so well by any guy before, he makes me feel like a queen".

I sadly smiled at Alice and she reassured me, "He'll give you all the attention and affection that you deserve, I know he will!". My eyes and smile were strained as I looked at her and continued gazing out the window, remembering all the hardships I had experienced before meeting Jasper. I am grateful for my painful past because it made me who I am today and helped me find the love of my life.

However, I turn my attention back to Sean for a second. I notice that he and Jasper are kind of alike. "You and Jasper seem quite similar don't you?" I asked. "How come I am only noticing this now?"
