The next morning came faster than expected. It felt as if Y/N had only managed to close her eyes when her alarm started ringing, echoing throughout the room with its high-pitched whistle. Placing her left hand heavily on the device, she managed to deactivate it. Six thirty read the clock when Y/N finally opened her eyes. Gathering as much willpower as she could, she uncovered herself and tying her hair in a bun she stood up. She would start the day by taking a shower, and after that a strong cup of coffee would finish waking her up.In the parking lot of the building, her driver was waiting for her like every morning. Although this time, the situation was different. The imponent building rose in front of her as soon as the vehicle stopped. Its glazed façade reflected what was happening outside and at the same time offered a preview of what was happening inside. One of the uniformed men at the entrance of the building quickly approached the vehicle. Holding his big blue umbrella up high, he took the car handle with his free hand opening one of its rear doors.
"Phillip, how many times do I have to tell you that you don't need to open the door for me every time?" Y/N said with a smile, as she got out of the car, then placed herself under the umbrella that had been offered.
“Good morning, Ma’am.” That man formally said, hiding a smile behind his lips.
That man, from now on ‘Phillip’, quickly closed the door of the vehicle and started walking towards the building. Three granite steps raised that building above street level. The granite was a dark gray color, almost black, but so shiny that it reflected the grayish color of the morning sky.
‘Good Morning.’ The other man greeted as he opened one of the large doors for the young woman to get in, returning the greeting and thanking the gesture with a slight movement of her head.As soon as she had crossed the hall, which had several black armchairs and glass coffee tables of the same color, one of the receptionists approached her. If she remembered correctly, Bridget was her name. A beautiful blonde woman with green eyes. Not very tall and quite young, a couple of years older than her perhaps. According to the receptionist, they were waiting for her on one of the highest floors of the building, in one of the conference rooms. Thanking her for her help and indicating that she could go on alone, Y/N made her way to the elevator. A huge metal box, lined in mirrors. Next to the door was the dash, Y/N pressed one of the buttons. Slowly the doors closed, and the cubicle that could hold at least ten people began to rise.
After a minimal wait, the elevator stopped, indicating that it had reached the indicated floor. The doors opened again and an immaculate white marble floor spread before her eyes. Sliding her gaze across the floor, her eyes met a few pair of shoes, that's when she looked up. Several members of both families and company correspondents, were gathered next to the pair of dark wooden doors. Noticing the sound produced by the elevator doors opening, they directed their gaze towards that metallic box meeting the young woman confidently heading towards them. Her gaze fixed on her mother and the notary next to her.
The man was only a couple of centimeters taller than Y/N, and seemed to be in his fifties. His eyes were a light color, but his hair was dark. His prominent forehead a distinctive feature. He chatted loosely with others in order to keep himself busy.
“Honey, welcome.” Said her mother receiving her. “This is Albert Smith, Mr. Cavill’s attorney.” She said introducing them. “Mr. Smith, this is my daughter, Y/N. Correspondent of the other fifty percent of the company.”
“Pleasure to meet you.” They said at the same time, as they shook hands.
“I understand that now we still have to wait for Mr. Henry Cavill to arrive?” That man said. The elevator doors opening instantly after revealing the aforementioned.
