"HAVE YOU DONE this before?" Amina asked Luca, who was too focused on fixing her scarf to cover her neck to look up at her.
"What? Pretend to be dating a female to make sure my sales on my single are high?" He smiled accomplished at her scarf as he set his hands back down to smile down at her. "Yes, a couple of times actually."
Amina gasped intrigued. "Wait really?"
Luca smiled, fixing his jacket as he flipped the collar up to cover his neck. "Yes, plenty of times actually. It does help with streams, but it's never fun as this."
Amina rolled her eyes as she slapped his arm softly. "Shut up."
Luca gave her a quick amused smile before looking down at his jacket and buttoned up the buttons. Amina smiled, tucking her hands into her pocket as she looked at her soundings.
It was a beautiful day for them to walk around Hollywood in hope to gain publicity for their single. It was nearly four o'clock and the wind was cold and harsh, but not enough to have Amina shivering or even in need of a large jacket like Luca. He had brought her the scarf because it was too windy for his liking and he didn't want her getting sick. She had let him out the scarf on her since she approval didn't tie it to his approval around her neck. She didn't understand what it was but anything below 70 degrees was freezing for people in Hollywood. She'd like to see Luca survive a day in Queens in the middle of January.
The sun wasn't out, and the sky was a a dark grey that showed the aftermath of a heavy shower just hours ago. The streets and pavement reflected upon the sky as large puddles laid upon them. Even though it was gloomy and windy, people still walked and talked along the street as if it were a sunny day.
They both stood on the large sidewalk, cars zooming quickly past them as Atticus stood behind them and Hardy stood a few feet in front of them. People walked by with fascinated looks as they looked with squinted their eyes at Luca who was too busy buttoning his jacket to notice.
"Okay, let do this." Luca excitedly said, rubbing down his jacket as he extended his arm out for Amina.
Rolling her eyes but not being able to contain her smile, Amina took her hand out of her pocket as she wrapped her arm around his bicep and pulled herself closer to his side. "How come I didn't have to do it for my EP?"
Luca chuckled, beginning to walk as he smiled amused. "But you did in a way."
"How so?"
"You went to Beverly," he laughed. "But Brandy only does this shit for features, especially ones with a small artists or artists on my level." Two teenager girls looks at them excitedly, causing Luca to chuckle as he nodded his head at both of them. "It's so weird being out here without the need of trying to hide from paparazzi."
Amina rolled her eyes smiling. "You're in quiet the mood today," she said amused.
He looked freshly clean, healthy, and radiant-something Amina loved seeing on Luca. He didn't have a bottle on him, and from the way he was talking and presenting himself he hadn't been drinking that morning or the night before.
She never meant to make him feel uncomfortable with the fact that he drank around her-but she didn't want him to think that drinking was something acceptable. She knew from what Mavis told her, that people around Luca accepted his drinking habits and didn't try to help him get better, they instead pushed for his addiction. The thought itself disgusted Amina, because she knew Luca was just using drinking as a way to control his life-something he thought he couldn't do. People who supported him and don't try to help him on his road to recovery were people aiming for his downfall-people who weren't meant to be in his life for good but rather distraction.
