THREE YEARS IT took to hear what Brandy's future would be, and where it'd be at. Three hard and long years of court dates, speeches, public appearances, and memories being brought back on the court stand.
Everyone was there.
Bella sat beside Luca who was alongside him. He remembered as when Bella and him opened up about their past with Brandy, how much support the two received over all social media outlets.
Most on twitter at first were in disbelief that a handsome and sweet man like Brandy could do something like that. Luca and Bella both recurved large amount of hate, which only made Brandy more cocky and proud that his threats to Luca were going to come true. Everyone said to believe the victim, because it took so much strength to be able to tell their story. Twitter didn't seem to get the memo, and news outlets seemed to be the same way. People said Luca and Bella were ungrateful and that they were lying in hopes Brandy would be ruined. All they did was create excuses to try and ignore their story.
While celebrities and singers stood beside Luca and Bella, none of them ever contacted Luca and Bella or tweeted anything after that about the situation. Their fan base didn't seem to care enough to even support them either, because one other celebrities were receiving hate for supporting Luca and Bella, everyone started to turn a blind eye on them. Everything brandy said would happen, did.
Six months of receiving hate and lies, and just when it seemed like all hope was lost, it was regained. One of Brandy's old artist, Amber, came out with her past with Brandy, and said she stood beside Bella and Luca. Amber, a woman who was once at her highest peak until she wasn't. Her fall was something no one saw coming, but as soon as her good irl image changed from sweet good girl to depressed alcoholic everyone turned a blind eye on the falling star. Then, Noah came out to the press that he would be putting a restraining order on Brandy and also would be leaving his record label. Noah Ozark, a seventeen year old boy who won the hearts of millions with his kind smile and amazing voice, was the eye opener twitter needed to stop being ignorant.
Two people came out. It took two more people to say what Brandy did to them for Twitter to finally take it seriously. Although Luca and Bella were scheduling court dates at this time, they needed news media to keep up with their story-if anything went wrong they wanted to see backlash. Brandy shouldn't get away with what he did, and if he did they wanted to make sure people realized how fucked up Hollywood truly was.
It was like that woke everyone up and made them realize that Hollywood wasn't this perfect place and musicians had it easy. The more people started showing their love and support thirds them, the more other artists came out to tell their story. All it took was one person, or four in their case, for society to believe them and for other musicians to grow enough strength to tell their story.
Woman and male musicians sat behind Luca as they all held each others hands. The same people who testified their horrific experiences with Brandy in the past, and opened up as to why they kept quiet and what he did to make sure they did. They all stood with Bella and Luca through their journey, and encouraged the two when they needed it the most.
This was it.
The moment everyone was waiting for. The moment to hear if brandy would be pleading guilty for the charges placed on him. He already lost his conservative, Amina taking in Brandy a lot since Luca's didn't want anyone he was related to. The more people that supported Luca and the rest of the musicians, the more hate Brandy was receiving.
Brandy was ruined.
Even if he didn't pleaded guilty, his career and golden reputation was gone. Everything he told Luca wasn't true. He wasn't a god that got away with everything. He wasn't at the top tier of Hollywood. He was nothing while the people he said were nothing became everything.
Over the past three years Luca visited his therapist weekly and even went to group therapy sessions. He grew more healthy both mentally and physically as he began to open up about what happened to him in a healthy way. This was the ending of finally leaving his past behind and moving forward with Amina and everyone else in his life.
Amina.
The woman who stuck with his side throughout it all. The woman who held him as he woke up from terrible nightmares or held him close to her chest as he broke down crying from the pain and agony of his head. She stuck with him and never once made him feel like she was judging him in anyway shape or form. Amina Ryan helped Luca when he needed her the most, and now she stood behind him with a soft reassuring smile as she held her hands in her lap.
The judges lips moved, but Luca didn't hear a thing. His heart was racing and his hands were shaking. This was it.
He looked away from the old judge, and to the levelheaded man a few feet away from him at the other table. Brandy was always staring intensely at him, as of already suspecting what everyone in the room wish would happen. He had large bags under his eyes as they grew a bright red and cheeks turned flushed. Everything Brandy Manning worked hard for fell apart-and all by the people he mistreated and wanted to kill.
He'd been serene and not like the hideous man Luca knew him to be. He was still trying to get people on his side, and instead of letting the true self out he played the sweet man who was being ruined for actions he never committed. Mavis's cloak would say otherwise.
Luca looked away from Brandy when Bella shook his side. As soon as the words 'guilty' came out the judges mouth everyone in the court flew out their seats in tears. Everyone embraced whoever was beside them in a tight embrace, tears rolling down their cheeks as they all let out a grateful sob.
Luca sat paralyzed in his chair. He did it-they all did it. They put their monster away for good. They could heal now knowing he couldn't control them or they'd have to see him anywhere anymore.
When the judge stood from his seat, Bella and Luca did too. The two quickly faced each other before turning around to Amina, Jacob and the rest of the musicians ho were crying.
Amina has bright red eyed as she looked up at Luca with a proud smile, while Jacob was sobbing uncontrollably with Bella wrapped in his arms. This hurt the most for Jacob, watching his father go behind bars and get hate for what he did. Jacob received more hate than brandy himself at first. People thought he was a disgrace for turning his back on the man who took him in-but Jacob never cared once about if.
Before he could thin, Luca hugged Amina over the barrier as he cried into her neck. He could hear brandy yelling in the distance, but it didn't matter anymore. He held nothing against him or over him. He couldn't control him or force him to do anything. He was fine-the monster was finally gone.
And he could finally breathe knowing knowing he and everyone else made Hollywood bleed.
