LUCA TEXTED NOAH the next day to check on the young boy. From his messages and one hour phone call, Noah seemed okay and was going to tell his mother that day what happened with him and Brandy. Luca encourages him to do what felt right, and that he was always there if he ever needed anyone.
It'd been over two days since Luca's fight with Brandy and telling Amina about his past. He was mentally exhausted, but spending the day with Amina and being able to relax with her helped Luca in more ways than he thought. The free hours with her and just talking about anything was something Luca would forever remember. It was the simple things that made Luca realize how amazing his life was.
Before Amina or Attis and Noah, Luca's life was a pity party with alike and parties he was forced to attend and pretend to enjoy. He believed he had no control, and control to him was happiness and freedoms that Luca couldn't possess because of Brandy. But he was taking it back-he got control now, and with control cane the freedoms Luca desperately needed. He was free, and he had people to be able to rely on and consider family.
Luca stood in the kitchen with Bella, Atticus, and Amina. All four adults talked and laughed amongst themselves as if Luca wasn't planning to make Hollywood bleed by killing it's highest man in power. At one point Luca even forgot his vendetta and was finally able to be comfortable and talk with them about funny stories he had.
The doorbell rang multiple times in a second as loud bagging echoed throughout the now quiet house. Bella slowly chewed on her cherry cautiously. "Who's that?"
Luca and Atticus shared a look. Luca quickly smiled softly at Bella and Amina as he backed away. "Stay here."
"Why?"
Luca gave Bella a soft smile. "Just trust me."
Luca nodded at both Amina and Bella who just stared at Luca curiously. Sighing, Luca turned away from them and out of the kitchen to the hallway that led to the front door.
He knew exactly who it was. There was only two people who had access to get through Luca's gate, and he was one hundred percent sure Nate Silvers wasn't the type to be in the neighborhood at ten o'clock in the morning. That left only one other man, a man Luca knew was going to come sooner or later.
The banging grew louder the closer Luca walked to the front door. The dark silhouette of a man standing behind his crystal glass door caused Luca to inhale softly and exhale loudly. He could do this. He could face his old best friend and tell him why his fathers car was wrecked and why his fathers ankle was most likely sprained. He'd tell Jacob the truth.
As soon as Luca opened the door, he was pushed back hard and landed in the floor with a groan. A familiar livid man stood over Luca as he repeatedly brought his fist down to his face.
"You fucker!" Jacob exclaimed.
This was definitely going to push Luca into overload. He couldn't even have a day to relax and be mentally ready for his best friend to start beating him.
He knew why Jacob was here, and as soon as he saw his dismissive silhouette behind the door he knew his suspicions were correct-he care because Brandy lies to him what happened between the two. Jacob was very over protective of Brandy, and no doubt would kill Luca for what he did to Brandy in his own home. He wasn't going to fight back-he couldn't breathe to hurt his heartbroken best friend.
Jacob was still in the dark and under Brandy's manipulation-only worse thing was that brandy had a strong hold on him since Jacob always tried to prove himself to Brandy. Brandy used Jacobs love and eagerness to earn his respect to his and stage whenever he could. Brandy didn't care for anyone but himself-but Jacob was too perfect of a son to realize it.
