Chapter 13

Mali's POV
I had no idea where he was leading me but he was being extra careful not to get caught or hurt me accidentally. Suddenly I felt a cold breeze so I knew we were outside. "Almost there" He was talking right next to my ear. Finally, We came to a stop. "Three. Two. One. You can open your eyes." I did as I was told and was awestruck at what he did.

A gorgeous setup of lights, a blanket, flowers, a picnic basket, and pillows. "Oh my Merlin, Ferret this is gorgeous." I laughed at his scowl. I kissed him on the cheek then skipped over to sit on one of the pillows. He chuckled and sat next to me.

"Glad you like it. I hope you're a bit hungry. I bought some dessert." My face lit up like a child at a candy store. "I always save room for dessert! Ooooh, what did you bring?" He opened the basket and I could see two ice cream sundaes with toppings. He handed me one of them and a spoon. I love brownie sundaes so this was heaven. I dove right in and took a bite out of the mixture of brownie, ice cream, whipped cream, and chocolate syrup that was on my spoon. "Mmmmmm this is delicious. How did you get it?"

"I got a house-elf to help me a little." he smiled at me then looks back at his bowl. "Woah, look up. It's so pretty." I was looking up in astonishment. I looked over to see him staring at me and smiling lightly. I give him a questionable look. He only drags me so I'm sitting in between his legs. His chin resting on my shoulder. "The stars might be pretty but not as pretty as you. OHHH I can be cheesy!" we both laughed and the smile lingered on our faces.

"Is that Draco Malfoy? Is he on a date with Mali Carharrt? I want a sundae like that, let's go bother them." I heard a few voices and turned to see three girls walking our way. Wonder what they are doing. "Heyyy, I'm Lyra, this is Leo and Valyrie. We are the idiot trio of the school. We came over to ask if we could crash your date for some free dessert." The two girls in the background were still laughing at what I think was something Lyra said back there. I turned to see Draco looking down at me as if saying 'it's up to you'. I turned back around and smiled. "Sure the more the merrier."

They rushed over and sat down next to us. "So how long have you two been going out?" asked the girl I think is named Leo. Draco and I blushed profusely. "W-we aren't official or anything. This is our first date."  Her hand flew to her mouth while the two girls next to us were gobbling down on the sundaes and cookies. "I'm so sorry, I just thought since you looked so natural that you've been going out for a while." She got a bit red along her cheeks. "It's alright, there is a compliment somewhere in there." Suddenly I felt fingers tapping on my side and turned to see Draco zoned out again. "Do you think we can get Pansy out here to crash this date too?" I snapped my head up to look at the girl named Valyrie, "You know Pansy Parkinson? She's a good friend of mine." She looked at me and smiled, "Well, of course I know her, she is my girlfriend after all."  My jaw dropped. Pansy had a girlfriend and I didn't know about it? I tried to lean forward but Draco's grip only tightens and he pulled me back a bit more. "She's your girlfriend? I never knew this! For how long? Oh, I need all these details now!"

It was now about nine o'clock and we have been talking none stop. Draco and Lyra we're talking about Quidditch, Valyrie and I were sharing little things about us, and Leo was in a tree watching the stars sometimes joining in the conversation. I cannot believe I haven't talked to any of them before, we share a lot of the same classes. Especially me and Leo. We share Transfiguration, Herbology, Arithmancy, and Astrology. Valyrie, Lyra, and I share Potions and Muggle studies.

I had a feeling that the four of us will become the greatest of friends. I yawned a little, then Lyra did. I checked my phone to see it was now nine-thirty. We packed everything away and started making our way back carefully.

"Can I crash with you guys? I don't wanna third wheel with these lovebirds." Leo was now jumping in their arms and being carried away by them. I waved and started to walk back over to Draco. "That was fun. They are so nice and funny. Maybe we can hang out with them later."

"Yeah, that does sound quite fun." He placed his hand on the arch of my back and continued walking. We talked about the fun things we learned with our new friends. Like if you want a discount on the Weasley twins products all you have to is do a weird dance in front of a tiny group of students.

I was still a bit shocked we haven't been caught.

We made our way to the painting and I tapped to the beat of 'Helga Hufflepuff' on the barrels. Draco stopped right before I walked in. "Aren't you coming? It's far too late and risky to be walking back now. You can stay with me tonight. Don't worry, the stairs to our dorms aren't like the Gryffindors. Boys can go up to them."  That seemed to be enough and he followed me. Once we made it to my dorm we could see Blaise and Sophia cuddled up on her bed asleep. I chuckled lightly and walked over to my wardrobe.

"Oh my, I forgot you need comfy clothes." I turned back around to see he was holding a bag which I assumed had clothes in it. "Oh nevermind, I forgot we had wands." I flipped my skirt up a bit and grabbed my wand out of its holster then took the holster off and put it away. Then turned back around. "I am going to be changing so can you turn around or close your eyes please." I only turned my head this time to see he was already turned one-eighty. I quickly changed into some white shorts, a black t-shirt, and black and white fuzzy socks. I sprayed my hair then put on my bonnet to keep it all moisturised. Once finished I turned to see Draco topless and in dark grey joggers. He was sprawled over my bed getting comfortable with his eyes closed.

"I finished changing" I climbed on top of him and rested my head on his shoulder. He opened his eyes and smiled a bit. I got up slightly so he could lay on his back then laid back down. He pulled the covers over us and in no time we fell asleep.
