2) Gathered Together

It was almost night, the sun barely visible through the clouds. They decided to rest, Chaeryeong was in severe trauma.
"What are we going to do?" Chaeyoung asked.
"We have to leave, this place isn't safe anymore." Jeongyeon declared.
"We can't leave everyone." Dahyun said.
"If we leave in a big group we're more likely going to get ourselves killed." Jeongyeon whispered.
Dahyun sighed.
"We'll figure it out, plus we don't even know if the way out is to Busan." Jihyo said.

They gathered in a circle.
"I'm just worried about Sana and Momo." Nayeon said.
"Do you think they're d-dead?" Dahyun stuttered.
"That or they're infected." Jeongyeon chuckled.
Everyone of them smacked her.
"I was joking." She rubbed her head.
"There's no time for jokes in this situation!" Tzuyu scolded.
"We have to check." Nayeon suggested.
"It's too dangerous." Mina spoke.
"We'll just check and if we can't find them we'll come back." Jihyo said.

"How do you even know how to deal with those infected?" Jeongyeon asked.
"It's only been two days, they couldn't have gone this far. I hope." Nayeon said.
"Fine, but I'm coming with you two." Jeongyeon stood up.
"I'll come too." Tzuyu joined in.
"I guess you three will stay with Chaeryeong." Jihyo smiled.
"I-I want to come!" Dahyun bellowed.
"You should take care of Chaeryeong with Mina and Chaeyoung, it's too dangerous." Jeongyeon hugged her.
Dahyun stepped down and went with the other two.
"We should go before it gets dark." Tzuyu said.

Their first destination was the town, it wasn't far as they remembered it to be. They got to the boundary of the buildings, they looked around and saw no one. It was deserted.
"Do you think they were attacked?" Nayeon asked.
"I don't know." Jihyo replied.
They reached the middle of the town and a rancid metallic smell came from in front of them.
There they saw piles of dead bodies, pools of blood covered the whole pavement.
"They... they're all dead." Jihyo froze.
In the distance, someone was standing hunched over a body.
"I-Is that... is that one of them?" Tzuyu trembled as she held Nayeon's hand.

Suddenly, someone pulled them into a building. The door slammed in their faces and their mouths were covered preventing them to scream.
"Guys it's okay, it's us." A familiar voice spoke.
They were released and finally could see six people in front of them.
"Sana! Momo!" Tzuyu hugged them in joy.
"It's nice to see you guys again." Momo smiled.
"Hey there Tzu." Sana ruffled her hair.

Behind them were four other people, those who met them and welcomed them into the town.
"You guys made it!" Tzuyu exclaimed as she hugged the shorter girl.
"Happy to see you too Tzuyu." Her motherly smile lightened the room.
Wendy, D.O, Rosé and Jungkook, the four people they met during their journey.
"Do you guys know what is going on?" Rosé asked.
"Nope, but we do have some knowledge." Jihyo replied.

"How did you escape?" Nayeon turned to Sana.
"One of those things strolled into the settlement and started to attack people, then we noticed that a few people turned into one of them. Unfortunately, we're the only ones to survive." Sana explained.
"They're zombies, I'm telling you." Jungkook raised his voice.
The three girls kept quiet, in reality those 'zombies' were still human being controlled by their bile and making them into monsters.
"How would an outbreak happen in this apocalypse?" Kyung-soo asked, he fiddled with his gun.

"Anything can happen." Wendy said.
"What are we going to do?" Rosé sighed. Then suddenly, a high pitched sound echoed through the streets, it occurred to them that someone was sobbing.
They looked outside and there was a girl crawling helplessly. Her hair long black hair parted in many ways, all the cute and bruises covered her arm and neck.
"She's attracting them over here." Jungkook spoke.
"Let them have her, there's too many risks to save her." Momo said.
"Plus she may be infected." Sana joined.

But she continued to call out for her, Jeongyeon, Tzuyu, Jihyo and Nayeon knew she wasn't infected.
"We have to get her." Nayeon declared.
"No way, it's too dangerous. She's one of them." Kyung-soo exclaimed.
"I know she's not." Nayeon said.
"How do you know?" Wendy asked.
"None of the infected can talk, she's calling out for help." Jihyo said.

An eerie silence came over them, each one looking unsure.
"Trust us, it's the truth." Jeongyeon came forward.
Outside, a few infected were seen up the street, it was only a matter of time before they get to the poor girl.

What should they do?
Should they risk it for one person?
What if they are infected?
