Knock Knock
"Wake up! Breakfast!" someone yells knocking on my door. I roll over and throw the covers off. I make my way into the bathroom to get ready.
I change into my pink running shorts and a white long sleeve. Luckily these were the only pair of shorts I had so I didn't die of heat in this California weather. Yikes guess I do need to go shopping since I only have winter clothing.
I walk down the stairs and make my way into the kitchen. Only Grayson and the triplets are hanging in the kitchen. I avoid their gazes and walk over to the table to take a seat.
I pull out a chair and as I'm about to sit down, it's pulled out from underneath me and I land flat on my ass. The boys start laughing their asses like it was the funniest thing they've ever seen.
I look up to the culprit and see that it was Evan. I jump right back up to my feet and shove him away. He stumbles back a little and they all look shocked. Guess they thought I wouldn't fight back.
"You brat!" he sneers. "Real original brother," I spit out. He starts charging towards me and my eyes widen.
"You can't hit me, I'm a girl!" I throw my hands up, surrendering, backing up. "Ya but you're also my sister, so I get a pass," he spits out with so much venom in his voice.
"What's going on here!?"Liam walks in and Evan freezes. "Nothing," he says quickly with a fake ass smile on his face. Liam looks to me for a response.
This can go two ways. 1) I can throw his ass under the bus and he'll get in trouble and hate me more or, 2) I can say nothing and we'll be all one happy family...note the sarcasm.
"Nothing just sitting down for breakfast," I smiled back at him. I take my seat and look at Evan. He looks confused at me. Probably wondering why I didn't tell on him. Well snitches get stitches and I live by that.
I'm sitting at the edge of the bench next to Owen and Liam at the head of the table. My eyes widen when three chefs come out placing breakfast on the table. Ok, I could get used to this. Back with Daniel I had to fend for myself, so that meant dry ass toast for breakfast.
They dive in and shove the food in their mouths like it's their last meal on earth and I just gawk at them while I'm eating a single pancake. "So Lauren, there's some ground rules to go over," Liam finally speaks up during the silent meal.
"You are to tell us when you leave the house and where you'll be. One of the boys must be with you or one of the body guards." Holdup did he say bodyguard? The fuck?
"Our family is one of the top businesses in California and with that comes enemies so it's just a safety precaution. I hope you can understand,"he explains and I nod. Ok...I guess that seems reasonable but is that necessary?
"Owen and I are gonna workout for Lacrosse tryouts Monday," he and Owen both stand up. "Lacrosse!" I chirp excitedly and everyone turns their attention to me. "You play?" Owen asks and I nod. They both start laughing. What's so funny?
"What position do you play?" Evan asks. "Middie," I shrug my shoulders and he eyes me suspiciously. "What do ya know, so does Evan!" Henry chimes in. "Lauren girls tryouts are on monday as well. You should totally give it a go," Liam comments.
"I would if I had my gear," I mumble playing with my pancakes with my fork. "Well it's a good thing the boys are taking you shopping, you can get some then." Liam states.
"The fuck!?" the three of them yell in unison. Yep called it, this wasn't going to roll over well. "You heard me, you take her shopping or I cut you three off," Liam says sternly then they all glare at me. Hey! I didn't ask you guys to take me...
"That reminds me," Liam says, pulling out his wallet and he hands me a black card. I take it from him. Holy shit... He just gave me a credit card with my name on it. "This is yours now, you can only spend $1,000 a week on it or we cut you off," Liam explains and I just stare at the shiny black card completely lost in thought. $1,000!? What do they think I'm gonna buy?
"Oh my gosh this is too much! I can't accept this! I'll just get a job," I explain handing him the card back. "Damn thought your spoiled ass would be jumping up and down all giddy," Grayson scoffs and I glare at him. Well fuck you Grayson.
"Ya not gonna happen. It's too dangerous for you to get a job so you'll take the card and that's final," Henry explains. "But-"
"Nope!" Liam cuts me off and hands me the card back. "Thanks..." I say softly and they nod. I feel strangely sick holding this card. This is insane. How much money do they even have? Obviously a shit ton.
"Anything for the princess right?" Evan scoffs. "Evan..." Henry draws out. "Forget it, I'll be in the car," he gets up and walks out. "We're taking my car!" Grayson yells out and Evan flips him off.
Everyone gets up and hands their empty plates to the chefs. "Thanks so much! That was delicious!" I tell the chef and he smiles at me.
I follow the boys out to the car and they pile into a black G wagon. Of course...
And great, I have to sit in the back seat with Evan...
The whole car ride they just talked about their recent hookups and honestly I didn't expect anything less. I just sat there dead silent scrolling through my phone. "Let me guess, you're a virgin," Evan states and they all laugh. Asshole...
"My ex would disagree with you," I smirk at him and they quickly shut up. "Bullshit, you're lying." Evan rolls his eyes.
"Wanna bet?" I face him. Ok now I'm mad. They don't know shit about me. "Show me a picture of you two then," he victoriously smiles. "Ok fine, in fact you guys might know him," I pull out my phone scrolling through my camera roll and they look at me confused.
I find a good picture of the two of us and hand my phone to Evan. He grabs my phone and his eyes narrow in on the picture and then they quickly widen. "Holy shit! You dated Parker Adams!?" Evan yells.
Parker was an all star lacrosse athlete and one of the top recruited players. We met at some lacrosse tourney and instantly hit it off. But with him always traveling it ended up not working out. It was a mutual break up so I'm not heartbroken or anything.
"Let me see," Owen snatched my phone out of his hand. "The fuck!" he yells and I chuckle. "Damn, lucky bitch..." he chuckles and hands me my phone back. I look over at Evan and he looks furious. Hahaha take that asshole.
Gotta love sibling bonding!
