☆Lauren☆
The light shines brightly in my face.
"Mmm, too bright," I groan. I slowly sit up and lean my back against the headboard. My eyes fall on the naked chested Nick, with his hair all over his face. I brush it away and he lets out a content sigh.
He comes closer, laying his head on my stomach and I run my fingers through his hair. I could wake up like this everyday.
"Morning beautiful," he says in his deep morning voice and tightens his hold on me. "Morning." I smile down at him.
He climbs up higher on me and places a gentle kiss on my lips. The next thing I know he flips us so now that I'm on top of him. He wraps his arms around my waist and I place my hands on his chest and rest my chin on them. "Man you're gorgeous," he smirks at me. My cheeks turn red and I hide my face in his chest.
He quickly stands up and I squeal, clinging on to him like a koala bear. Nick walks us down the stairs and freezes once we get to the bottom. "What the fuck?" He mumbles.
I turn my head to see Grayson, Evan and Owen sitting on our couch watching TV in nothing but sweatpants. They turn from their positions on the couch and quickly look away.
"EWWW Lauren, I so do not want to know what color underwear you're wearing!" Evan exclaims and I quickly jump out of Nick's arms. I awkwardly pull Nick's shirt that I'm wearing lower and he chuckles. I punch him in the arm and he throws his hands up surrendering.
"I'm just gonna um, get some pants," I say and quickly run upstairs but not before Nick pats me on the butt.
I head into our room and freeze. Did I just say 'our' room? I kind of always saw it as Nick's place but in reality it's the both of ours.
I grab my comfy shorts off of the floor and put them on. I make my way downstairs and walk into the family room to see all the guys lounging down on the couch. I walk around and take a seat in between Nick and Owen.
The second I sit down, Owen lays his head down on my lap. "Sup sis," he smiles up at me. "Hi Owen," I giggle.
"Not that I'm complaining...but why are you guys here?" I ask them. "I would like to know as well," Nick says, scooting closer and wraps his arms around my shoulder.
"We're your fairy god mothers tonight." Evan states. "Huh?" I question. Grayson groans and rolls his eyes. "Liam wants us, well ordered us, to take you shopping and get ready for the engagement party tonight." Grayson explains not so happily.
"We're going to bibbity bobbity boo the shit out of you," Evan exclaims and motions his hand like he's holding a wand.
"Where's my carriage?" I laugh. "You got a pumpkin?" Owen asks. I look down at him and laugh even harder.
Man, I love my brothers.
--------------------
My brothers and I pull up to the dress store.
I made Nick stay back because I didn't want him to see my dress until he had to.
Of course Liam had to go all out and reserve the whole place to ourselves. It's a little much, but I'm glad I get to spend the day with my brothers. I feel like we haven't seen each other that much after everything that's been going on. At least they are warming up to Nick.
I have mixed emotions about tonight. It all feels so finalizing.
This should be a happy day for Nick and I but then I have to remember this is all because of a stupid contract our father's made years ago. And to be honest, we both know that we probably wouldn't even be in the same room if it wasn't for the contract. I guess we were just both fortunate enough that we grew feelings for each other.
"Hi! Welcome to Millie's boutique. I heard you were looking for an engagement dress?" A lady comes up to me and asks. "I am." I say with a smile on my face.
"Well congratulations! I promise with the right dress, it'll make your day that much more special!" She says enthusiastically.
"Now if you guys could wait here. I'll bring out some dresses and see what you think. How does that sound?" She asks. "Sounds great!" I say cheerily. She nods and walks off into a different room.
My brothers and I sit down on the nice fancy couches and a man walks out giving us all champagne and leaves the bottle on the table.
Evan picks it up and downs it all in one sip.
"Evan you're supposed to take small sips, not drink the whole thing at once." I laugh. "Hey, If I have to sit through this whole thing, I'm going to need some liquid encouragement." He states and grabs the bottle and pours him another glass.
The owner walks back in with a whole rack of dresses rolling behind her. "You're not gonna try on ALL of those dresses are you?" Owen asks. "You bet I am!" I jump up and run up to the rack excitedly. They all groan and complain and I hear Grayson mumble, "kill me now" under his breath.
----------------
After hours of trying on dresses while my brothers get drunk off of champagne in the waiting room, I think I've finally found the one.
It fits perfectly and the color pops against my newly tanned skin.
I'm honestly in love with this dress.
I walk back into the room with my brothers and stand on the platform in the middle of the room.
"Beautiful!" Evan stands up clapping his hands. "Gorgeous!" Owen stands up on the couch announcing with his arms out wide. "You look like Belle from beauty and the beast!" Grayson yells and we all laugh.
"I think I need to cut you three off..." I say and they all gasp. "We've only had like 4 bottles I think." Owen mumbles and I shake my head.
"Well, I'm going to get the dress and call a driver because clearly Grayson can't drive." I explain.
As I walk out of the room the owner walks back in and I hear her say. "Are you guys ready to be fitted for your tuxes?" And the room falls silent. "I'm sorry what?" Evan says shocked.
"You boys didn't think we were only shopping for Lauren did you?" She says and they all groan.
That should sober them up...
