I wake up to my mom yelling to me to get up out of bed.
I get up and shower and put on black leggings and a black v neck and my combat boots.
When I'm done getting dressed I see my mom making breakfast and my brother reading a book as usual.
"Where's dad?" I ask
"He had an early meeting but we will see him later" my brother Caleb says.
"Come on Caleb the ceremony is soon we need to get to the train"
~~Time lapse to the train ~~
"Hey guys" I say to Chris, Uriah,Lynn,Marlene,Shauna,and my crush.
Zeke.
I have had a crush on him for a while.
"Hey" they say back.
When I look at Zeke I notice him staring at me. I can't help but blush and look at the ground.
"Guys. I see the train" Lynn says
~ Time lapse to ceremony ~ ~
The leader of abnegation starts the ceremony with his speech. I can't help but be nervous even though I already know I will choose dauntless because it's my home and it's where my crush is.
Zeke and Shauna are already dauntless members. But they came to support us. Zeke is a dauntless leader and dauntless born trainor. Shauna is a nurse.
Then I hear " Tris Prior"
So I stand up but Zeke grabs my wrist and whispers " I hope you choose dauntless"
I can't help but blush again.
While I walk over to the five bowls,Peter,my enemy ever since we were kids tries to trip me. But I jump over his foot at the last second. He smirks at me.
When I get to the bowls Marcus hands me a knife and I cut my palm. I look at my choices. My choice is simple. I let my blood sizzle on the coals. I am brave. I am dauntless.
•Zeke POV•
Ever since I told Uriah that I liked Tris he's been trying to get us together. I really want to ask her out its just that I'm scared her dad won't like me because he never talks to me at the meetings. But I'm going to man up today and ask her.
Then I'm pushed out of my thoughts by hearing Marcus saying Tris' name. She stands up but I grab her wrist and whisper " I hope you choose dauntless"
I see her blush and I see Shauna give me a death glare. I know Shauna likes me but I don't like her. I like Tris and everyone knows it except Tris.
I hear the coals sizzle and I let out a sigh of relief.
Then her brother Caleb goes up and chooses erudite. Wait what.
Why would he choose erudite?
Whatever. But then I look and see Tris sad but not surprised. I don't think a lot of us were. He never went zip lining with us. He was always reading.
"Uriah Pedrad"
I am so scared he won't choose dauntless.
He goes up to the bowls and cuts his palm.
He looks back at me and smiles.
I hear the sizzle and I let another sigh of a relief.
~~ Time lapse back on the train~~
•Tris POV•
Marlene and Lynn also chose dauntless. But I still am pretty upset at Caleb for choosing erudite. But what are you going to do.
"Time to jump" Tori yells
We all get ready and we see the roof top then we all jump together. All of us landed but Marlene and Chris didn't land on their feet like the rest of us.
"Listen up! I'm Max and this is Zeke we are two of your five leaders. If you want to enter dauntless this is the way in"
I look at the transfers and they look terrified. I smirk and so does Zeke.
"Someone's gotta go first. Who's it gonna be?" My dad asks.
"Me" I say
He smiles at me and helps me onto the ledge.
I don't think I just jump and land safely onto the net.
