SOMETHING ABOUT THE SUN drew Akari's attention. Nezuko and Akari were sitting in a cave Tanjiro put them in so the sun couldn't reach them. But as Nezuko was digging a hole to avoid the sun Akari was slowing crawling towards it.
She sat at the very edge before putting her hand out cautiously. She widened her eyes when she didn't burn away. Instead she felt energized. She then started crawling out and sat outside of the cave playing with grass.
Tanjiro came back with a basket and bamboo but dropped it when he saw Akari out in the sun. He immediately ran towards he and looked at her face cupping them and looking at her with worry.
"A-Akari! Are you alright? Why are you in the sun?!" Tanjiro asked frantically.
Akari stared at him and then hugged him. He hugged back but was very confused.
"Can she stand in the sun..?" Tanjiro murmured to himself. "I wonder if Nezuko can.." Tanjiro wondered and then looked at Nezuko but frowned when he saw how scared she was of the sun.
Akari let go of Tanjiro and crawled towards Nezuko. She patted her head and then looked back outside.

TANJIRO STARTED REPAIRING the broken basket with bamboo as he watched Akari run around picking up flowers.
He smiled.
He watched as she came back and ran inside the cave giving the flowers she picked for Nezuko.
He loved how close the two girls were.
'I promise i'll turn you two back no matter what it takes. Your older brother. And your lover will turn you back...'

"NEZUKO. HEY NEZUKO? Do you think you can get in here," He pointed to the basket. "I wanna keep moving during to the day. But I can carry you okay? Can you fit in this basket?" Tanjiro asked.
Akari and Tanjiro watched as Nezuko climbed out of the hole.
"Hey Nezuko? Remember how you grew big like an adult? Do you think you can do the same but get smaller? Come Nezuko! Smaller Nezuko!"
Then Nezuko flipped the basket over and was able to fit in the basket.
"Wow! Good job Nezuko!" Tanjiro said patting Nezuko's head. She hummed in happiness.
