TANJIRO STARED at Akari while his family and her were eating breakfast.
She was talking to Nezuko and eating.
He was planning to confess to her tonight but was extremely nervous.
"Tanjiro? Are you alright?" Akari asked when she noticed he was staring at her.
"Huh? Oh yes. I'm fine." Tanjiro replied, sending her a smile.

AS TANJIRO WENT out to sell coal, Akari and Kie were talking.
Kie was brushing Akari's hair.
"You know Akari, my dear." Kie said.
"Hmm?" Akari hummed.
"I think Tanjiro really likes you." Kie blurted.
"R-really? You think so?" Akari stuttered.
"Mhm." Kie said. You could hear the smile in her voice.
"Well..." Akari said. "I like him too."
"Is that so? Yes!" Kie cheered.
"Huh? What's the celebration?" Akari questioned.
"I made a bet with your mother when you and Tanjiro were little babies. We both betted that you two would become a couple." Kie said.
"S-seriously? My mom? Ehh??" Akari said surprised.
"Yep! I miss her. She was my best friend." Kie said sadly.
"I miss her too..." Akari said.
"Well, your hair is all brushed. Go play with the kids." Kie patted her back.
"Okay! Thanks!" Akari said waving then running to the kids.
Luckily Tanjiro had just got back.
"Hello Tanjiro! Welcome back!" Akari cheered. She had a big smile on her face.
"Hello Akari. You're in a good mood." Tanjiro said.
"I am!" Akari smiled.
"I want to ask you a question. Later can you me-" Tanjiro was cut off.
"Akari nee-chan! Can you play with me?" Rokuta asked tugging at her clothes.
"Of course! Sorry Tanjiro! Let's talk later!" Akari said picking up Rokuta and playing with him.
Tanjiro nodded.
He sighed and watched as she played with his little brother.
Spinning him around and jumping with him.
He smiled and went inside to help his mother.

LATER THAT night Tanjiro went up to Akari. Since they were the oldest they were allowed to stay up later than the others besides Nezuko. But Nezuko was watching the other kids.
Akari was outside admiring the stars until Tanjiro came.
"Akari..." Tanjiro began.
"Yes?" She responded.
"Can I tell you something?" He asked.
"Sure, anything!" Akari smiled.
"I don't know where to start..."
Akari tilted her head.
"I guess...I really like you. And not in a sisterly way or a friendship way. Like a love way." Tanjiro said looking up at the stars.
Akari stayed quiet.
Tanjiro sighed and apologized.
"Sorry..." He said before walking away until somebody grabbed his hand.
He was turned around and he felt soft lips on his own.
His eyes went wide for a moment but then melted into the kiss.
When they pulled apart Akari spoke.
"I love you too." She spoke.
Tanjiro froze for a moment before he had a smile he couldn't contain.
Akari immediately hugged him jumping into his arms.
Tanjiro embraced her and hugged her tight.

1. When Akari and Tanjiro told the family, Kie and Nezuko began fan girling.
2. Sometimes Tanjiro and Akari fall asleep together accidentally.
