It was the start of July, which meant summer, no school, friends and fun. You were staying at the burrow with the Weasleys and Harry, Hermione would've come but she was traveling.
You were currently in Ginny's room as you were sharing with her during your time there. She was outside playing a game of Quidditch with Fred, George, Charlie, and Harry. Molly was cleaning downstairs, which you did offer to help with but Mrs.Weasley had told you something alone the lines of "Oh don't worry dear, I can handle this it isn't much, go have fun and relax."
So now here you were next to your makeshift bed, going through your trunk looking for a book you had brought to read. When suddenly the door opened, making you turn around faster than light before relaxing at the sight of the ginger boy you loved.
"What are you doing?" Ron asked,
"Looking for stuff, cleaning, just about everything" you replied as you turned around again
You knew he gave you a weird look and before he could even speak you turned around again
"I'm bored, that's why I'm doing it Ron"
"Well, you can hang out me....if you want too I mean"
You smiled as his ears grew slightly red, making you giggle and nod at the boy. The boy always got flustered around you, you would think after five months of dating he'd know you want to hang out with him.
He led you to his room, which surprisingly wasn't a huge mess, and sat down on the bed. He reached over, touching the radio he had on his dresser before pressing play on it. The first song to come on was 'Paper Rings' making you jump up excitedly.
"I love this song! C'mon dance with me Ronald"
You spoke as a smile formed on your face and you stood up, immediately starting to dance around the room. You were so close to Ron that you didn't mind him seeing you dancing, of course you didn't want to embarrass yourself but with Ron you just felt so comfortable.
"I dunno...I'm not the best..."
"Ron! Do you see the way I'm dancing? Cmon let's just have fun"
After a moment he stood up, immediately dancing around the room with you as you sang your heart out to the song. In that moment you felt just two simple things; love and happiness.
"I like shining things but I'd marry you with paper rings!"
You shouted as Ron pulled you into his arms, a smile on both of your faces.
"You'd really marry me?"
Ron asked as the song came to an end
"Of course I would, I don't care the ring, like the song said, I like shiny things, but I'd marry you with paper rings..." you started as you placed your hands on his face
"As long as I have you, darling you're the one I want"
