Snow covered the grounds like a blanket. Fluffy, white, sparkly snow danced from the skies and spread around, landing in people's hair like crystals, shining brighter than ever. Araelynn wrapped her scarf around her, in hope of keeping herself warm as she crossed the road to the Weasley home.
Once inside warm air engulfed her, making Araelynn smile happily as she shook off the snow from her coat before hanging it on a hook with the rest of her belongings.
"Hi Mrs. Weasley!" Araelynn greeted as she stepped into the kitchen
"Oh hello dear! Come come you must be cold!" Molly brought her further into the kitchen and led her to the living room where the other Weasleys, Harry and Hermione had been. The twins were sat telling jokes and working on pranks while Bill shook his head watching them. Charlie was sat by the fire with a small dragon, the dragon happily dancing around him. Hermione and Ginny were drinking cocoa and talking quietly as the tv played, whilst Mr. Weasley payed very close attention to the cartoon playing. Harry was near Ginny but talking to Ron as the two talked about what to do outside.
"We definitely have to do a snowball fight! We can even do teams!" Ron had suggested, Harry nodding immediately.
"Would you be prepared to lose that battle Ron?" Araelynn asked from behind Ron, making him look up and smile.
"Araelynn!!" he immediately pulled her down to his lap on the couch, wrapping a blanket around her shoulders
"You are cold- how long have you been walking?"
"Thirty minutes at most, nothing crazy" She reassured laughing slightly
Ron kept his arms around her, snuggling deeper into her as she talked to everyone.
After a bit, everyone decided it was time for the snowball fight and headed outside after gearing up. Once done teaming up with people, everyone took a side of the backyard, and began to build their snowballs. Charlie's dragon let out a tiny roar and then the battle had begun. ————————————————————————
"Ouch I'm pretty sure that snowball left a bruise Fred!" Hermione complained as she rubbed her arm
"Okay maybe the snowball kit worked a tad too well" George began
"We'll charge for that set extra" Fred whispered to George; who nodded in agreement
Everyone had headed upstairs to change and once changed did whatever around the house. Ron had pulled Araelynn into his room, immediately flopping onto the bed with her.
"I'm cold, you're warm, therefore you're required to cuddle" Ron explained, mumbling as he threw blankets over himself and Araelynn.
"Okay weirdo, you act like i'm gonna complain" She laughed, making the boy shake his head
He snuggled his head into her neck, pressing sweet small kisses every few minutes as she wrapped her hands around him pulling each other closer. Eventually they had switched spots and Araelynn ended up with her head on his chest while he lay with her, his hands running through her hair just as she had done to him. The two fell asleep there, cuddled up together; warm and cozy. ————————————————————————
