You, like many other people, had dreams and goals. So you had them written down in a notebook, and as you accomplished things, you'd check them off.
One of your goals was to go to Hogwarts like your parents did, you were able to check that off when you turned 11 and got your letter.
Another was to make good friends. You were able to check that off pretty quickly.
The list went on and on, but one goal you had that hadn't been checked off yet was to admit your feelings to him. It had been on the list since third year and you were now in your sixth.
"I'm telling you to go up to him and say 'I like you'"
"I'm not messing up our friendship! Or what if he rejects me?!"
You, Luna, Ginny, and Hermione were walking to the carriages after arriving off the train, just you four sat together and the topic somehow was on your love life.
"Y/n, I know my brother, he may be a git but he does have feelings for you!"
You shook your head at Ginny and somehow changed the conversation for the rest of the carriage ride.

A month passed since school started again, and the girls had not stopped bugging you. Luna even went as far as to try locking you two in a closet!
It was about almost seven thirty in the evening and you were pacing the girls dorm. You had finished all your work and now were battling your feelings, deep in thought.
"You alright?"
"Yeah"
You mumbled out, a bit distracted
"Hey, cover for me?"
You asked after a moment, turning to Hermione, Ginny, and Luna (who Ginny and you snuck in)
"Are you going dancing again?"
Luna asked in her dream like voice, you simply nodded, and left the room.
Up in the astronomy tower, you hummed along to one of your favorite songs as you put on your headphones.
You swung from side to side, jumping around, laughing whatever. You were letting loose, having fun.
"You're a good dancer"
You froze.
"Ron...what are you doing up here?"
You felt embarrassed, you only really danced around anyone you were close to, which was the girls, the expectation was the Yule Ball but everyone was dancing so no one payed attention, plus, you danced with Neville who would never judge you.
You assumed your face was red as Ron walked over to you with a smile playing at his lips.
"I'm serious, you dance really well. I only came up here to clear my head, suppose you did too"
You nodded, and smiled a bit at the boy,
"What's on your mind?"
"This girl, I really like her"
"Story of my life, only it's a boy"
"What is she like?"
"Well... She has h/c, these gorgeous eyes, and she's a really good dancer"
You tensed up slightly as he smiled at you, coming a bit closer.
"Tell me about the boy"
"He's a ginger, quite sweet, and he loves to eat"
Both of you laughed and blushed at each other people Ron stood up, taking you with him.
"Will you be my girlfriend?"
"Yes"
"C-can I kiss you?"
"You may"
And he leaned in, pressing his lips to yours in a sweet kiss. When you pulled away, you gave him one of the earbuds and played the music, both of you smiling softly.
"And now we dance"
He spoke as he unplugged the headphones, letting the music fill the tower as the two of you began to dance however you felt with one another.
