He stopped running when he reached a river. Water always seems to calm him down for some reason. Lance splashed water on his face, hiding the tears forming in his eyes.

"Meow." Lance turned around and saw Kova walking over to him.

"How'd you get all the way over here, boy." Lance giggled as he lifted the cat.

"Mew."

"I bet you're asking about Keith, huh?" Lance sighed, placing Kova on his lap.

"Meooow."

"I'll take that as a yes. What happened was that Keith is a total dickwad. Like, what the hell is his problem anyway? I've done nothing wrong to him, right?"

You have done nothing wrong, that is correct.

"What? Who said that?!" Lance frantically looked in all directions, but no one was there.

That is I, Kova, I am the one speaking to you.

Lance stared at the cat with wide eyes.

Keith has been through a lot. He has been living in isolation for a while now. The boy does not know how to talk to people, especially you.

"What do you mean, especially me? Also, what happened to him?" Lance couldn't help but ask about Keith's personal life.

Keith's parents left him when he was a baby. Ever since he was a child, he has been able to do things no man could do. When the town found out his unique abilities, they threatened to kill the child. The boy was forced to run away.

"Oh my god, what happened next!" Lance begged to hear more about Keith's past.

The boy ran into another person just like him. He could also do these unimaginable things. His name is Takashi, but Keith calls him Shiro.

"Earlier, Keith told me he made a mistake or something like that."

Ah yes, well, the two trusted a pack of werewolves. They told them they would provide shelter. Sadly, that was not the case. They were attacked by the werewolves. Takashi sacrificed an arm to save Keith. The boy never forgave himself for that, even after all of these years.

"Damn, that explains a lot, literally."

And especially you, that is something for him to tell you.

The cat and vampire sat in silence. Lance was processing what he was just told while petting Kova.

"Lance!" Keith shouted from above them.

Lance looked up, but the witch immediately crashed into him. Keith laid on top of him, making them both blush. He got off of the vampire and held a hand out for him.

"Watch it, mullet," Lance growled as he took Keith's hand. Kova jumped out of Lance's lap and sat down next to him on the grass.

Keith sighed with relief as he pulled the vampire upon his feet. They were both suddenly inches apart, and Keith immediately hurried back.

"I'm glad you're okay. I thought something bad happened to you." Keith rubbed the back of his neck, nervously.

"Also, I'm sorry about everything I said! I didn't mean it! Well, I did mean it, but more as a warning. Whatever, but I-"

Keith was interrupted when he was pulled into a hug by Lance. The witch didn't hug back, surprised.

"I forgive you, Keith," Lance whispered in his ear, making Keith stutter.

"What? Y-you, forgive me?"

"Well, duh, I just said that," Lance gave him a playful smile. Keith didn't know how to respond, so he stared at Lance as if he had two heads.

Then the witch noticed Kova was watching both of them.

"You." Keith hissed as he pointed at the cat.

"What did you tell him, Kova?" Keith stormed over and lifted the cat. Kova just gave him an innocent look.

"To see the truth, to know the way. I cast a spell in every way. By the power of three, I conjure thee, to give thy truth unto me."

The witch's crystal turned bright yellow, indicating intelligence.

"Kova pretty much told me your entire backstory. It was sad, also, who is Takashi?" Lance blurted out. He immediately slapped his hands over his mouth, but it was too late.

Keith's eyes widened, and his jaw dropped to the ground. Then he looked back at Kova with a death glare. The cat only pawed his face in response.

The witch dropped the cat on the ground. Kova obviously landed on his paws. Lance just stared at Keith, frozen in place, afraid of what he was going to do.

"Lance, can you fill up this jar with that water behind you." Keith sighed as he held up a jar to him.

"Why can't you do it?" Lance asked.

"I'll melt if I touch the water. Please fill it up now." Keith glared at the vampire.

Lance cautiously took the jar from his hand, worried if it was a trick. Good thing it wasn't. The vampire held it in the water until it was full. He took it out and closed the lid.

Once he stood up, Lance handed the jar back to Keith, but the witch flinched away.

"Oh right," Lance drew it back to him and awkwardly looked at Keith, waiting for him to speak.

"I've got everything I need. Let's go home." Keith brought the broom in between his legs. Kova jumped on and sat in front of the witch.

"What is the person's capacity for that broom?" Lance asked as he slowly approached them.

"As much as it can fit," Keith answered, not even looking back at the vampire.

"O-oh, okay..." Lance slowly sat down on the broom and held onto Keith. His hands touched the witch's bare pale skin, making them blush.

Up, up and away!"

They quickly rushed straight up into the sky. Lance screamed and held on tightly as to not fall off.

The broom abruptly stopped right below the clouds. Suddenly, they started to fall back, causing Lance to scream louder.

Keith let go of the broom and cheered as the wind was rushing through his hair. His black hair violently flew around. It kept getting into Lance's mouth as he was screaming.

Suddenly, the broom did a loop, making them go upside down. Then it started flying straight but still at a ridiculous speed.

It felt like a few hours to Lance before they made it back to the cottage. For once, the broom slowed down and carefully hovered above the ground.

Lance shakily stepped off and fell face-first into the grass. Keith laughed as he stepped off as his cat jumped off.

"Whoo, that was fun. What did you think, Lance?" Keith teased.

"I will never go on that broom AGAIN!" Lance declared as he bunglingly stood up. His legs were still wobbly from the most traumatizing moment of his life.

Keith sarcastically hummed in response as he grabbed his broom. They all walked back inside the cottage. The witch went straight to the kitchen to put away the supplies he has gathered.

Meanwhile, Lance passed out on the couch, still shaking in fear. Kova laid on top of the vampire's back.
