"Keith, can I show you something?" Lance asked as he entered the bedroom.
"Yes! Er- yeah, that would be cool, I guess." Keith tried to play it cool as he got out of bed. He followed the vampire to the living room.
There was a guitar sitting on the couch. Candles and rose petals littered the entire living room. Lance ran over to it and held the guitar in his lap.
"Don't be shy, mullet." Lance patted the spot on the couch for Keith to sit. The witch sat next to him, unsure of what was going to happen.
"Oh, his eyes, his eyes.
Make the stars look like they're not shinin'.
His hair, his hair
Falls perfectly without him trying."
Keith instinctively ran his fingers through his hair as blush spread across his face. Lance smirked, admiring how cute he was.
"He's so beautiful, and I tell him every day.
Yeah, I know, I know.
When I compliment him, he won't believe me."
The witch huffed and rolled his eyes.
"And it's so, it's so
Sad to think that he don't see what I see
But every time he asks me, "Do I look okay?"
I say
When I see your face
There's not a thing that I would change.
'Cause you're amazing
Just the way you are
And when you smile
The whole world stops and stares for a while
'Cause boy, you're amazing
Just the way you are
Yeah"
Lance scooted closer to the witch, making them inches apart.
"Whatever," Keith mumbled under his breath as he looked away to avoid eye contact.
"His lips, his lips,
I could kiss them all day if he'd let me."
Keith's face reddened, and he looked at Lance to see if he was lying. There was no trace of hesitance or nervousness.
"His laugh, his laugh
He hates it, but I think it's so sexy."
"N-no." Keith stammered, flustered as to what Lance was saying, or should I say, singing.
"He's so beautiful, and I tell him every day.
Oh, you know, you know.
You know I'd never ask you to change.
If perfect's what you're searching for, then just stay the same.
So don't even bother asking if you look okay.
You know I'll say
When I see your face
There's not a thing that I would change.
'Cause you're amazing
Just the way you are
And when you smile
The whole world stops and stares for a while
'Cause, boy, you're amazing
Just the way you are
The way you are
The way you are
Boy, you're amazing.
Just the way you are"
Keith couldn't stop looking away from the vampire's eyes. Maybe because he was seeing if Lance was lying or because they were so blue and beautiful.
"When I see your face
There's not a thing that I would change.
'Cause you're amazing
Just the way you are
And when you smile
The whole world stops and stares for a while
'Cause, boy, you're amazing
Just the way you are
Yeah"
When Lance strummed the last notes, Keith was speechless. The witch was shocked that he did this for him.
"Did I blow you away with my guitar skills or what?" Lance smirked at Keith.
"Y-yeah." Keith breathed.
Something clicked in Keith's memories. Quickly, the witch held the crystal around his neck and closed his eyes.
"Melody playing since. Play it anew. This time, no one to play it. Create the same pitches, rhythms, and responses that arose from it."
Music, the same as Lance had played it, began strumming. The vampire looked around, trying to see where the sound was coming from.
"Would you like to have this dance?"
"I would be honored."
Lance smiled and nodded as Keith took his hand and twirled him into his arms. They fell in step, letting the rhythm control their movements.
His blue eyes glistened, and a smile spread across his beautiful face.
Uncontrollable feelings surged through Keith's body, and his fingers tingle in delight. Lance's hand brushed across his cheek. His body was acting on its own, with no chains to hold him back from this pure paradise.
Lance drew him close to his chest, and Keith wrapped his arms around his neck. His raven-black locks fell over his eyes, like a curtain blocking out the sunlight.
Keith began to withdraw his hand to brush away his hair, but Lance's hand clutched onto his. The vampire carefully laid his hand on Keith's shoulder. Lance delicately tucked his locks behind his ear, and his purple eyes twinkled back at him in greeting. Keith's lips went to Lance's ear as he whispered ever so softly.
"You know how to be romantic."
"You were the one that made this a dance."
The witch set his head on Lance's shoulder. They continued to dance, too lost in the music to halt.
Keith brought his head up and sleepily opened his eyes. He leaned in and planted his lip on Lance's. The vampire wrapped his arms around Keith's neck in return and held him tight as the kiss continued.
They both pulled away from each other's lips. Lance couldn't look away from Keith's purple eyes. The vampire noticed how tired his lover was.
"Aw, is my mullethead sleepy?"
"No!... yes."
"Let's take you to bed, babe." Lance placed his arms behind Keith and picked him up, bridal style. He took him to the bedroom and tucked in the witch.
Shortly after, Lance soon joined in the bed. Immediately, Keith rolled over and wrapped his arms around the vampire. They both fell into a deep slumber in each other's arms.
