Gallus sat at his place in his classroom. He couldn't wait to get out of the classroom. A quick look around is all he needed to know his other friends were just as bored. They were all finished with the test Twilight had assigned, along with himself. Some of his other classmates had finished as well, but there were still a couple working on their tests. One of them is seeming to have a hard time.

The bell for the end of school rang, and Professor Twilight dismissed the class. "Have a good rest of your day, everyone!"

"Thanks, Professor Twilight!" Ocellus replied, her wings fluttering as she zipped out the door. The few ponies who were finishing up watched everyone leave.

"Come on! Let's go to the library!" Ocellus bounced down the hall.

"Uh, for what?" Smolder said, "We just took a test."

"And we don't have anything next week." Gallus added.

"Oh, not for studying." Ocellus said, "I just want to hang out there for a little bit."

"That sounds like fun!" Silverstream squealed, "Can I come?"

"You can all come, if you want to. I'd understand if you didn't."

"Oh, whatever, I'll tag along." Sandbar commented.

Gallus heard his other friends saying they were tagging along as well, but got distracted when he saw Twilight coming out of the classroom. Normally, she would head to her office to grade papers, but she was heading for the front of the school this time.

Weird.

"You coming, too, Gallus?" Smolder's question brought Gallus' attention back to the group.

"Uh, sure. I'll catch up in a bit." Gallus caught a glance at Professor Twilight turning the corner. "I've got something to check out first."

"Suit yourself." Smolder shrugged, and walked to the library, the others following suit as Gallus walked away.

Gallus followed Twilight at a distance, ducking behind the pillars or any stray items of furniture he came across. He felt wrong to be snooping on the princess like this, but he had to figure out what was going on.

Gallus had noticed in class earlier that while taking the test, Twilight had been moving restlessly at her seat and, at times, staring at the floor in thought. Whenever she did, her mouth would perk up into a smile and her cheeks would flush a little.

Gallus realized he'd followed the princess to the main entrance of the school. Twilight took one of the doorknobs in her aura and opened the door.

On the other side was a broken horned unicorn with a black cloak on, the hood down behind her neck, showing the scar over her right eye.

Tempest Shadow, Gallus gasped.

"You made it!" Twilight waved Tempest inside as she closed the door behind Tempest.

"Of course I did," Tempest retorted, smirking a little, "The castle's right there."

"Right." Twilight smiled, a little nervously, too. The two mares started for the hallway, and Gallus started to walk away.

"Well, I'll do a quick tour of the school, and then we can head to my office." He heard Twilight say behind him. He almost froze in his tracks when he did, but he picked up the pace.

"This is a great day to meet up, since I assigned a test for my students..." Twilight's voice drew quieter as Gallus hurried towards the library to tell the others what he had found out.
